Just received my Touch today the sept 25.. ordered it on sept 5...(8 gig)... its a week 38 ipod with Corinne Bailey Rae on the front....so far i'm very impressed, no screen issues here
Mine went into the "Prepared for Shipment" state on Saturday night and has not budged since. (For those looking for trends - I ordered it on Sept 8 - Order# W309xxxx)
I ordered 5 minutes after apple re-opened the store and i've been prepared to ship for 3 days... I'm pissed... I'm certain they did it to stop me from cancelling...
I just called Apple, gave him my order # and asked if it s;hipped out yet. He didn't even look he just said "no they haven't...it's a new product blah blah blah...28th" AHHHHHHHHHHHRRRGH at least learn to pacify your customers and at least PRETEND to look. I was hoping to call, have them look, explain the situation, and get a free upgrade to the faster shipping method
Should I call back and try to find a more reasonable person?
They gave me the same stuff when I called -- and get this -- i'm a W308 order from launch day --- ive been prepared to ship for 5 days.
I called in today, this AM spoke to a rep -- she gave me $50 off for my trouble so my 16GB touch with corporate + the $50 is coming in at $372 cdn.. Not bad.
Is anyone still stuck with prepared for shipment like me?
Yes.Since Monday. I'm starting to think there must be a problem with their shipping service. They really should say something else than "It ships the 28th".
if i were to get my itouch tomoro at the eaton center, wat week would it be??? and are all week 38's good quality??
I got mine in Eaton's store yesterday afternoon and it's week 38, no problems for now.
Damn Apple, I went to look for Creative ZEN (see thread) but ended buying Touch ...![]()
With the Touch, they must have learned and that's why they're setting us all the "prepared for shipping" 4 or 5 days before they send out our iPod so we're stuck. I'll be very angry when I walk into a Future Shop or Best Buy on the weekend and see stacks of these things![]()
If that's the case, I might just have to demand that they give me a free return box and buy it at BB or Future Shop and make sure they get their cut for the quality service they're doing compared to Apple. It's entirely immoral that my, and other's, iPod is supposedly ready to be passed off to a shipping company but is sitting in some Apple warehouse in China for the last 3 days without any explanation as to why. I just hope they do ship by Friday or it'll probably be one ugly day at 1-800-MY-APPLE Saturday.
