iPod touch FOR CANADIANS: Online order status / Store stock

I just woke up and checked...and...Shipped! Woo. I ordered my 8GB on the 7th, and it's been in "Prepared" since Monday. Finally a light at the end of the tunnel. I can't seem to find the week of my iPod on the invoice yet though? Holy manpants I'm excited!😀

*Edit: Nevermind, I forgot how to check(still waking up)the week. It's a week 38!😀 Woo.
 
I wish I could say I'm excited but with all the complaints about wk 36+37, especially wk 36, that is what I am receiving, I have a feeling something might be wrong.
 
So should we let our Touches update to 1.1.1 once they arrive?

PS DL'd the Feist album (with the "one, two, three, four" song in the Nano commercial...good stuf!
 
Finallly... Status changed around 1 after I checked this forum first to see if anyones had shipped and mine has to 🙂

Ordered sept 7th at 7am
I was prepared for shipping since monday
Although i still don't know how to check to see what week it is.... do you need the box to check it or can you check it from your order status somehow?

mine finally shipped too ( week 39 ) , and shipping method is express, is that the fast one , like the 2-3 day one?Cause i didnt pay for fast shipping
 
darn it! my shipped today too but it's a week 37!....

GRRRRRR!!!

now I can't decide if I should just return this ipod to Apple once it arrived and go out right now to get a week 38 OR just keep the 37... (i can't open and check the 37 else it's a restock fee...)

What do you guys think?

EDIT: I guess I'll see who's picture on the box first, then decide. They might have fixed the week 37s and then send them out (could explain the delay?).... so much grief buying apple stuff this time...

Mine says the same thing so I guess both will be on the same plane in the morning headed to alaska.

Just looked online and it seems like BestBuy has Touches in stock in all 3 stores here🙁 although I don't know how many they have - could be one, could be one million.. Meh, free cables are worth waiting another couple of days...plus going to the Oilers game today -woohoo

what week is your ipod (36,37,38?) because i didnt see the # anywhere?

I think 38.
Go to view your order, then click "print invoice" (there will be a link beside the top of the order) then scroll down and look at the serial #. I had a hard time finding it too
 
Mine has finally changed to Shipped status with the same tracking information as one poster already put up here. It's a week 37 though. Are these the ones prone to faulty screens?
 
I went to the BB near my house today and they had 2 x 16 GB touches, no 8 GB though. They were both week 38, Macy Gray box art.

I almost bought it...but I didn't because they wouldn't accept my future shop gift card (rightly so, I guess, although it does let you check the balance/pay for it online...). The discount would have been ~100 dollars so i'm going to wait for FS to get them.

Oh yeah..and the new nano's...oh my god I couldn't believe how small they were. It was freaky! Also, the screen looked so awesome.
 
I ordered my 16gb Sept 13 and it just shipped today

Week 37😡!!

I think even if it is a bad one I will still keep it because I don't think i can wait another month for a replacement
 
Yup - fedex says left origin for me too (although they didn't send me any email on this although I asked for that on the status page). No expedited or anything, but stuff tends to get to toronto pretty quick most of the time anyway - fingers crossed.

Mine is EXACTLY the same as yours, right down to the minute. And also have a week 39.
 
My September 6 pre-order also finally shipped today after being 'prepared' since monday. Serial number is W38 unit so thats a big positive.

Still, it's very frustrating that I could have bought a unit at a local store since last weekend. As everyone else has said, the point of a pre-order is to get something first at the very least the pre-order units should have been shipped out along with the retail units, not two weeks later....
 
i always thought the point of pre-ordering was to make sure you got one in case they sold out everywhere else....
