iSnoop says Xinjinqiao at 10:02 so maybe it gets moving today? that was only an hour ago!

It makes sense that the plane would leave there soon and arrive here at a reasonable time, eh? (here being Alaska)

good ol apple making pre order customers wait 11 days after the product "officially according to them september 28th" hits the market

by the time we get our orders, week 40's and 41's ipod touches will be in the store

I'm sure I'm completely losing it by saying this, but do you all think that they spent the time moving all the iPod's to an entirely different city because there is possibility that a plane is heading over there today that they can put the iPod's on, hence why all the iPod's were moved? Why else would they spend the time moving them today? Maybe they'll leave China today...............

Probably because they aren't leaving for another week, or because they keep on doing a horrible job of predicting dates. I'm probably completely wrong, but it just seems odd that in the middle of the holiday over there they spent the time to move the Touch's.

Well, if I check my order, it seems it is exactly 24hours behind yours.
My last step was

It is now 8:30am in Anchorage. This means our shipment should be arriving in roughly 5 hours, so around 5pm this afternoon. I don't think FedEx will update the minute it gets there but still.

Anybody follow what I'm saying.
I think we might actually get them earlier than the 9th... possibly this week.

Unless for some reason there are no more flights and colinalexander got the last one.

Well it's possible the ipods did move before the holiday (to Shanghai) and nobody bothered to update tracking. Maybe tracking got updated today and so that's why it's showing as moved today. I guess it's also possible they brought in a night shift to prepare for full operations on wed?

I dunno, I'm talking out of my 'you know what' because I have no idea. Just thinking out loud.

But I also am of the opinion that the 9th is a worst case scenario date. If the packages do leave (or hopefully have left) for Alaska and get there tonight (our time) then maybe they fly overnight to the sorting facility and then start heading toward us. The only problem is the canadian-bound ipods will have to go through canadian customs which will delay things.

EDIT: i just wish they would have pre-charged the iPods so we didn't have to sit there and stare at the things while they charged once we got them.
Isn't that the worst part about getting a new cell phone and not being able to play with it too much because you have to give it a really good first charge?

I'm in the same boat, but I bought an ipod yesterday at the Eaton Centre. I am going to return the delivered ipod there when it FINALLY comes.

I don't think it will take 7 business days to get here... so next tuesday doesn't seem likely so hopefully by this Friday... Once these things start moving they just keep moving.. and it doesn't take 7 days to move it all the way here...

This sample is taken from when I got the iPod classic delivered... as you can see when it was "in transit" frm XINJINQIAO CN it took a matter of hours to get to ANCHORAGE AK and then two days to deliver... that seems more likely now doesn't it.... If the iPod Touches follow this then we should have it by Thursday....

the "matter of hours" is due to the time difference - but I think you are right about hopefully thursday or friday of this week assuming - aw heck the way things are going, we can't and shouldn't assume anything. I just hope we get our Touch before Touch 2.0 is unveiled and we get to start all over again.

Estimation on delivery

I think if the iPod touches can ship sometime today, than we can probably get them by Friday, hopefully Thursday, if they are shipped any later i think the October 9th shipping date may be accurate sadly.

Well I can say for sure that it is well worth the wait! I just couldn't wait any longer knowing I could buy one and then return the other.

One thing I did learn: NEVER pre order.
