iPod touch FOR CANADIANS: Online order status / Store stock

So my 8g iTouch went yesterday from Kunshan to Shanghai in China before departing for Anchorage. It left Anchorage last night and ended up in Memphis, TN this morning. It left Memphis this morning at 11:30 am EST and is in transit. Today is Sunday and it still shows 26 Sept (Wed) for delivery date. In the past, whenever my Apple orders have left Memphis, they generally arrive the next day. As an example, here is an example from my last iPhoto order. Leaves Memphis at midnight....delivered the next day.

On FedEx vehicle for delivery DON MILLS, ON 8:32 AM
At local FedEx facility DON MILLS, ON 7:32 AM
Int'l shipment release MISSISSAUGA, ON 7:32 AM
Int'l shipment release MISSISSAUGA, ON 7:21 AM
At dest sort facility MISSISSAUGA, ON 4:45 AM
Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN 1:09 AM
Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN

I wonder if it will show up tomorrow. That would be cool. Fedex really sets the standard for delivery. If you think about it....going from the manufacturing plant in China to my house in Toronto in a couple of days is quite impressive.

It would have to clear customs and that mght hold it up a day or so.
 
Since the new iPods started shipping to Canada I guess it won't be long before they have them in stock at the Apple stores. I really need to check it out before I decide whether I am buying the iPod touch or waiting for an iPhone with 16GB.

Customs shouldn't take a day, it's possible you will get it tomorrow. FedEx says the 26th but my shipping e-mail from Apple says by the 25th (Tuesday). It should have left Memphis already, I've had packages show up that according to tracking are still in customs or in a sorting facility.
 
im just hoping mine gets shipped out tomorrow, and not on the 28th....My status is still Not Yet Shipped, and my order # is W311...

Ohh well :(
 
I have found that in the past, there has been a considerable delay in Fedex's tracking of packages over the Internet, so just keep that in mind when you're looking at the status :)

I would be so happy if i got my ipod 2moro. lets hope...
 
I am a W308 order -- STILL not shipped.

2 friends who ordered 2 days AFTER me have their engaved 16GB touches IN HAND. THis is pissing me off to no end....

Yeah the world isn't ending -- but it ticks me off that A) Apple won't explain WHY they are sending out units out of order

b) why they won't do anything about it (even thou I don't know what they even could do)
 
**** I ordered my touch on the 8th... status changed on Friday (21st) and then my card declined the payment on the 23rd and i got an e-mail from apple to change my info... so i did that and now my status has reverted back to Not Yet Shipped... does this mean I have to wait a whole ****load of time again just for the damn status to change?
 
FINALLY.... Woke up this AM and now i'm "Prepared For Shipment" after all this BS -- the damn thing better be a Week 38...

On a more humerous side... I ordered a 20" iMac 3 months ago -- my wireless keyboard still has not shipped (it's due tommorow)

I'm going camping this weekend, wonder what the chances are i'll have it in hand by then --- probably no chance... Ok I'm a huge loser, someone in Toronto tell me exactly how many days it took for yours to get to your door...
 
My iTouch is also now in Mississauga. Its showing a "Clearance in Progress" at 4:30 am. Clearance only takes an hour or two at Fedex at this point in the morning. Smart money and past experience says it will be delivered this morning by 11:30 am.

ordered mine Sept 19th (W313) . obviously still waiting , but I`m cool with that as long as it doesnt take much longer than like 10 more days

Do you guys think apple will stick to "shipped by the 28th" ? So it should be shipped by th end of this week? ahha

Mine's in Mississauga being cleared too!!! It's amazing how it only took 2 days for it to get from China to Mississauga.

I hope you're right Jagadis....I am monitoring our mail room right now hoping to finally receive it this morning. :D

Update: It still says "Clearance in Progress" and it's 10:07am...hmmm...I'm still optimistic it'll come this morning.

Still 'clearing' customs...I'm getting impatient, hehehe.

To tell you the truth, I never order online a lot, and certainly not from Apple except for this one, but I'm impressed so far.

C'mon Fedex guys, please, please take it out already. :D
 
I think I'm in the same batch as you guys as I'm stuck in Mississauga as well. Stupid Canada Customs, let my ipod go!

Mine has to travel a little further to Ottawa so I'm hopeful for tomorrow.
