iPod touch FOR CANADIANS: Online order status / Store stock

I just drove down to Bellingham Costco in Washington state and picked up one of their 10 iPod touches Saturday afternoon. Seemed no one was interested in them at Costco, though best buy down teh street was selling out and also $10 more!
I'm in love! I don't see significant signs of screen issues. But the mp3 player often craps out if your are doing heavy browsing at the same time.

Wonder what the logic is with regard to order #s and times, and shipping dates
What are you guys using to track your packages? just apple's website? or a widget? I got a widget but now that it is prepared for shipping, it's having a heart attack and can't find anything lol.

It's pretty over the top with google maps and RSS. It even gives you your package's average speed in mph.

Well does it tell us the driver's blood alcohol content every time he/she makes a pit stop? I thought not! clearly this site isn't hardcore enough lol.

Just for you guys who already have shipments in Mississauga, awaiting for customs clearance:
My Touch arrived in Mississauga and was clearing customs since 4:30 this morning. Sad to say that it's still in customs awaiting clearance (tracking indicates: Clearance Delay).
One good thing though, according to the Fedex rep I spoke to just now, the delay is normal and customs is not asking for anything (additional documents, etc.). I was assured my shipment should be clearing soon...whew.
This means I won't be getting it today and a great chance will be in my impatient hands tomorrow morning.

Same at Apple Store in Laval (Montreal area). You can reserve one by phone for same day pickup.
My package is also in the batch that have yet to be cleared by customs. "Clearance in progress" has been the status since 4 in the morning...
Rather annoying but typical with shipments coming into Canada in my experience. Although I'm not sure I've ever had this big of delay with customs, wonder what's backing them up? As long as I get it tomorrow I don't really mind, busy day anyway so I wouldn't have the time I would want to play around with it.
From my experience, sometimes the online updates are delayed. Likely tonight, the package will end up at your home town, but it will not be delivered until tomorrow. That was what has happened to me other times I ordered through Apple and other companies.
I've had the lack of online updates happen many times. This is the longest I've gone without a single update though, not even a customs delay notification. FedEx usually comes in the morning and I really hope it comes early as I have most of the day off.
For those who got their Touch's from an Apple Store in Toronto, could you confirm the batch/serial number? I have an online order stuck in customs right now, but I just went ahead and reserved a Touch for me to get tonight at the Apple Store.

I believe someone said the ones they got in were week 38. If you're wondering what week the one you have online is you can go to your order on the apple store and click on print invoice, your serial number will be listed there.
