Exactly. They care only to the extent that Steve’s legacy is an asset that they can leverage. Not to mention Apple couldn't care less about "legacies". If it makes them money, they will do it, like any corporation.

Uh I don't know what you're problem is or why you're acting so protective over an ad but I have every right to state my opinion on that trash of an ad. Kinda bizarre that you're acting defensive about this ad. People trash Apple ads here every chance they get. I certainly can criticize an anti-Apple ad. Weird. 🙄A "repulsive" ad...dear me my friend, you certainly have things out of proportion; they are not attacking your religion or killing puppies; it's a light-hearted dig!
What is your deal dude? Chill. No one seem to be to worried when Apple did the "Apple v PC" ad at the M1 keynote
And neither have the Intel defenders that have come here to pathetically do damage control either. SMH.I knew when this story broke, it would be comedy gold on here with the hysteria, and boy you haven't disappointed!
J-Long is so not relevant anymore. Intel using him is just them digging as far down in the barrel as they can to show how salty they are about Apple dumping them and making a far better and far more efficient processor. The fact that a simple machine like the MacBook Air with an Intel processor blows fans after just minutes of use and drains battery is flat out pathetic of Intel after Apple's M1 hardly heats up the Air even on the most taxing applications and the battery is over twice as long. Intel is crap that they can't even innovate. He is an actor...he is pretending for money. Seems he is pretty good at it as he has you convinced he likes PC more than Mac and has changed allegiances.
Not super keen on the ads, but I have to admit I don't see anything inaccurate in what the adverts say either.
You might not like the style of the ads (as I don't really) but there is more selection in PC's, Most gamers use PC's and his others points.
Just to say I 100% wish none of these points were correct.
I wish there was more variation in Apple hardware, and Apple would probably be leading in gaming if it was not for Steve Jobs (that's the problem when you have the head of a company that does not like something)
During your attempt at being witty (obviously failed) you might've made sure you got the guy's name right. It's JUSTIN.OH JASON, HOW YOU COULD DO THIS TO US? WE TRUSTED YOU! WE BOUGHT A MAC, BECAUSE OF YOU! AND NOW YOU TELLING US THAT IT WAS ALL A LIE? IT WAS JUST A RUSE?
Or actually, we didn't and we bought it anyway because it was just better.
On another note:
HEY FORMER PC GUY, DO YOU WANT TO MAKE SOME QUICK MONEY?
Apple's Marketing team is looking for you. SHOW YOURSELF!
There was also more selection in PCs when Apple used only Intel processors.
So I guess the available selection has nothing to do with what processor is being used, and thus has nothing to do with the merits of Intel’s products.
And that’s what’s silly about these commercials.
I know it would never happen for all sorts of reasons.
But still, I would like to see an Acer, Alienware, Asus etc etc M1x ? laptop selection
With all different form factors, ports, and designs.
Never going to happen of course, but still, it would be nice for a Mac OS lover to go into a store, and have perhaps a dozen machines at all different price points and specs, running Mac OS to select from.
From cheap ones for kids, typical office type models through to gaming powerhouses.
I would say at least 300 of the post are filled with Intel defenders attempting to do damage control from feedback here.Wow, almost 500 posts in 5 hours. This is clearly an important story!
Not sure if "respect" is the right word, since it's not like it takes a lot of character or something to go after a paycheck, LOL! It's a natural instinct of human nature. I think it makes more sense to say it's "understandable."intel 100%, but justin's just going after that paycheck and i respect that
I just knew someone here would find a way to throw blame on Apple when this repulsive ad is actually trashing Apple. Typical MR members. SMH. Newsflash! Perhaps Apple doesn’t give a flying fig about this ad or Justin along starring in it and is not acting as dramatic about it as some of you here. Apple stopped doing ads against their competition well over 10 years ago so they don’t need J-Long. In fact Apple is probably laughing at how pathetic and upset Intel is. Good for Apple!
LMAO very strange version of "logic". As long as you haven't seen them then they were only noticed by current Mac users. Congrats, you just gave the word "Logic" a new meaning.Funny thing is, I never saw any of the Mac commercials until after I had already switched to the Mac. So in reality the commercials were nothing more than fodder for those who already owned one.
Do you have to know everyone in order for it to be true. The Get a Mac ad campaign was extremely successful in getting Windows users to buy into the world of Mac.I don't know of anyone who switched to a Mac because of them.
Ugh...that seems desperate on both Justin & Intel's part.
EDIT: I get that he's just making a living; so are the folks at Intel.
My point with Justin's flip-flopping is that seems desperate (like when the Verizon spokesperson moved to Sprint; it is hard to tell if the move is genuine in those scenarios.). I have nothing against Justin Long - may he have a long and flourishing career!!!
Except Apple doesn’t really do comparative advertising anymore, though they did get John Hodgman to make a cameo in their M1 announcement.Justin should have reached out to Apple and said hey guys, I’ve been offered this much by Intel...
Oh I am very chilled my friend, enjoying the ride. I haven't noticed anyone here really "defending" Intel; 90% on here are irrationally upset by either a) a percieved Apple slur, or because b) a jobbing actor is erm.... acting! or they are folks like me poking the fire a little to keep warm!Uh I don't know what you're problem is or why you're acting so protective over an ad but I have every right to state my opinion on that trash of an ad. I think it is called working for a living...I just love the cheering section for J-Long about him being "Just an actor getting a paycheck". But when Apple wants to make money they are called GREEDY. I call J-Long GREEDY as well because he had no issue accepting public backlash as long as he gets the money. That's greed!
Ridicule? LOL, more like show frustration due to how poorly Intel treated Apple's customers. Apple couldn't even make a simple MacBook Air run more than 15 minutes before the fans blew like crazy and the battery draining doing very simple tasks. Apple told the truth, but more so their ad was promoting their new product. What exactly was Intel promoting in this trash of an ad they put out? NOTHING.Apple used the PC Guy to ridicule the competition at the M1 launch in November 2020.
.
Nobody "ages" on TV when there's a good makeup artist and very proper lighting. 😊This dude doesn't age
well I would throw that problem at Apple, choosing a silly form factor; stupidly thin to suit a narrative without any real ventilation leading to throttling etc.Ridicule?
