Its crazy how fast you get used to the outer screen. I just spent an hour or so setting up all my Apps and just went back to my previous phone and it seems sooooo long 😅
Lol... one of the reason I packed my Fold 6 up when the new one arrived. Took my SIM out... documented reseting the phone, as well as the condition of it then proceeded to seal up the box.

Samsung sent an email that the trade-in has been received, so... awaiting the completed status so I can close this chapter.

Just received mines. First thing I noticed is, the crease is the closest I've personally seen to being invisible and almost can't feel it with my finger. It's literally just one step away from being nonexistent. If the iPhone Fold is any better with the crease, then Apple wasn't lying by saying it's going to be creaseless.

Finally.....and now the very last pic to be taken with my Flip7. I got the clear magnet case just for my work desk when I have my keyboard connected to it. Nice to see the case came with 2 TPU screen protectors. I'll need to do a little modification, then use these for the back of the phone. It should be good for scratch protection since I already bought Tempered Glass for the cover display. Otherwise, it'll be no case for everyday use. It should be a crime to put a case on such a beaut of a device. Just gotta back up my Flip7 to a USB, then load it up to the Fold 8. Happy days again.

Agreed!

And nice color choice! Not sure why they call it cream.. doesn't look creamy at all. And for some reason, can't get my visual voicemail set up with AT&T... anyone having issues?

The only thing that annoys me so far is that damn inner screen camera! I plan to use it a lot in portrait mode to browse and so far it sticks out like a dead pixel, especially when I scroll to read a page. If only Samsung had put it in the corner like all the other Foldables OR kept their Fold 6 technology. It's especially annoying, knowing I will never use that camera anyway 😅

Is the magnetic ring also included with the case ?

They should have just kept the under screen camera, but so many people complained about the quality. All I could think about when reading those comments was, really?!? What could you possibly be doing other than video calls? How much quality is really needed on a video call? Use the cover screen camera's if you need the quality. Or better yet, use the main cameras. Personally, I say get rid of it all together.

How about some inner screen App comparisons! 😁

Glad the ‘cream’ isn’t cream. That colour is so dated to me, having seen it in homes/gardens since the 80s. It would be weird for a modern tech device to be in that colour, for me.

Prior to picking this color, I saw a post from Ice Universe saying the cream color was actually a nice pure white color. Samsung definitely need to just call it white because it definitely is not the cream color they've had in the past. Most people I know prefer this white over the cream. Cream to me always looks like a white color that became dirty or faded. Similarily, I have a pair of Arcteryx Kragg shoes that are white. I was going to buy another pair this year, but they got rid of the white, and brought out a cream color called sea salt. A lot of complaints, as most preferred the white.

Yeah, or they should had called it Silver Shadow or something like they did with the Fold 6.

All set up minus I have to set up my digital key from my car and I'm sure I'm going to have to log into a few apps but I'm relaxing right now..
Yeah, I still have plenty of customization to go... you have it easy with Niagara Launcher lol...

I don’t post much now as I managed to curb my phone habit this last year haha and have just been content with my iPhone Air since launch last year.

However, I think the Fold 8 looks brilliant. Finally a decent form factor for a foldable. OG Pixel Fold owners know!
It isn’t enough to make me switch as it’s so expensive and I’m trying to get more life from my devices these days but nice to see people enjoying it!

There was a lawsuit between BOE and Samsung I believe that settled in 2025, due to (Samsung) patent infringement. So that explains the removal of under-display camera on the inner screen. I loved that when I saw the Fold 6 and was disappointed when the Fold 7 lacked that.

I'm so envious of all of you and your photos right now! Best Buy still says arriving tomorrow but no tracking info yet. I'm fine with delays but when you pre-order something (and get charged for it...Samsung...) and get delayed after the fact, I have a big problem with that. What a weird launch this has been with pre-orders and delays.

As much as I'm going to miss the S-Pen... it's not like a huge deal, certainly will be excited when it returns.

But this hole punch camera should had been placed on the corner... poor decision on Samsung, but I wholeheartedly agree that it should be removed all together. I have been adamant it should be gone when they released the Fold 7, part of the reason why I stayed.

I had the Fold 6 using UDC for 2 years.... enjoyed it, but now it's back to the hole punch.

And some folks think this launch was completely normal... it's unfortunate that you have to wait, especially when you were one of the first to pre-order.

A couple of early thoughts yes the phone fits in pockets, fingerprint touch button excellent and I'm able to hold in left hand and I can unlock with pointer finger.. crease visibility is the best one yet.
Yeah, Samsung has a winner on his hands! My setup is nearly complete, will share when finished... once done probably will remain this way going forward.
