NO! Now apple is doing in App Purchases!! Never using one of these apps again or in the future!!

Why... why.. why do they insist with these UGLY, no FUGLY icons..? They are HORRIBLE... some users may like them, to each their own, but to me they are the ugliest piece of crap they ever did...

The current icons are beautiful, why don't they give us the option to pick our own icons and be done with it..?

All the users who actually paid for garageband better get the in-app purchases for free. Unless Apple is that unloyal to their customers -.-

I also think that the users who paid for iWork and iLife should get some bonus, such as the ability to save all their documents/movies/slideshows in iCloud WITHOUT it counting towards their online iCloud storage.

iPhoto and GarageBand look great - the other 4 are horrid. iMovie, in particular, has a star that looks like it was drawn by someone who doesn't know how to draw stars.

I know I'm beating a dead horse but...

How can anyone think the iOS 7 icons are an improvement?

The only positive to the new icons is they fit in better with the other horrible iOS 7 icons.

Labelling the change as an improvement or not an improvement is subjective.

Stating that the design changes are in line with the overall iOS 7 theme: Then yes, they are an improvement.

Either way, it doesn't bother me. You only see those icons for the few seconds you are navigating to them on-screen.

Not sure if this was isolated to some weird glitch on my end or something but I i browse the app store on my iPhone 5, bought at launch but the one i have now is a refurb due to my original getting dust under the lens, running iOS 7 Numbers, Pages, Keynote, iPhoto and iMovie all showed up as Free. I downloaded them and looking under my purchase history right now they show as Free. I do not appear to have been billed. in iTunes on my PC and Macbook they had thier usual prices. So either they made them free on the DL or i just took advantage of a glitch.

Boo. So it's frowned upon when a developer charges in app purchases yet Apple is praised when they do it. Makes sense.

People who complain about iOS 7 icons are sad, but I really like these icons over the ones on stock iOS. Much more consistent.

Right, and if I DL it with my new device, can I DL it to my older ones on the same account?

Probably not.... :mad::apple:

Yes, you can. I plan on doing this when I get an iPad 5 and then loading all the free apps on my iPhone 5.

An App or iTunes content purchase is not tied to any specific device. It's tied to your iTunes or iCloud account.

So, a big **** YOU to people who paid for the apps?

Typical.
First off, the apps are "free" for people who buy a new device which costs -at least- $230 (the 16GB iPod touch is the cheapest iOS compatible device).
Secondly, the people who paid for the apps have been able to use them for a couple of years, since their release.

Also really hope there's an update to the Podcasts app! And perhaps allow Canada to get the Trailers app, thanks.

I have no intention to attempt to understand how anyone think they are an improvement...But, with that being said, I am with you on this one, pal...

Office colors?

I what thinking that Numbers is Green Like Excel

But pages and Keynote are switched from Word and PowerPoint

Maybe is to avoid a lawsuit, but when I see those colors I immediately associate these apps with their Microsoft office equivalent...

I still don't understand the reason for the different colours, however. Is there a particular reason why, for instance, numbers is green? (and the exact same green as the phone app, messages app and FaceTime app.)
Apple is adding meaningless (and sometimes confusing) colors to appeal more to Windows 8 users, because Microsoft suddenly is somehow on the forefront of UI development. That is if you believe the lunatic anti-skeuomorphism crowd, who pushed for this whole iOS 7 redesign, no one asked for. The insane use of color is supposed to look fresh and modern. And if you don't like it, than it means you are old and have problems with changes. Welcome to this brave new world! Its 1984 and we can't have nice things anymore.

As far as I know, free with new iPhones. And, seriously? So Apple can never change the price of their products, ever?

What about those who bought the MacBook Air one week before the price drop of $100?

I bought two Macs within weeks of a refresh many moons ago. The worst was a Mac Mini about five weeks before they got Intel CPUs instead of PowerPC.

It stunk, but it's not like Apple said "this will be $799" and billed me $899. Price drops happen. If you don't like the price of a product, don't buy it.
