Wow, not a big market! But if you can palm a basketball and have XL size hands and decent sized arms, it's probably a good fit.

This kind of watch probably looks oversized on certain arms no matter what you do though.First rule of photographing watches on wrists - never use a lens wider than about 50mm equivalent otherwise you just make the watch look way oversized.
Those are reflections from the lightsThey already look dinged up in the photos - look around the screen edges. That doesn't bode well for esthetic longevity.

It's the light reflecting on the chamfer. You can see it in the video (the one just above the pictures)Nicks already? How tough is it supposed to be?
The target audience must be why they included sharp edges. One swipe across a rock and it's (hopefully) all function and no form. Why would the target market care about that? It's not supposed to be a watch you wear to a fancy dinner, lol! It's function over form here.

totally agree. Can't judge it well with just a hand.it would be so much better to know the size of the human that is modelling the Watch Ultra.
There all cellular for this modelI ordered one the moment they were available, then had to triple check to make sure I am getting the cellular version. I guess Apple knows me and checked the box for me. I can't wait to order the phone to go with it.
I have one quick question. I know I will be in my home city when the watch arrives, but the timing on the phone might place me in NYC. Is there any way to choose a NY store for pickup, when I don't live in that city?
They should make an iPhone Micro that you can strap on your arm.Wonder why Apple didn't rotate the traditional portrait layout to landscape for a slightly wider watch face? Lots of people do lots of things with all of the iDevices in landscape orientation. Why not embrace it with this watch too?
Average wrists will only accommodate a watch that is so "tall"... but there is plenty of forearm for even the smallest wristed people.
If that's the case, they should have ran that edge up past the glass face for added protection. A watch with a broken face is not a workhorse. I don't believe for a minute that Apple designers didn't obsess over this devices's visual presentation or that most buyers won't strongly consider its savvy, though bulky, appearance.??? If you swipe any type of edge/surface across a rock, it's likely to show some damage. Again, these are meant to be workhorses, not showpieces.
Behind closed doors all these companies work with government && they all work together giving us an illusion that there is competition so us the Fans can buy into it picking sidesThey're copying each other. Samsung introduced a new high end activity watch they called the Galaxy Watch5 Pro. Apple then comes out with the Apple Watch Ultra (no Series 8).
You could put them on your ankles instead. This will look ridiculous on my thin wrists.
I'm ordering two. One for each arm 😂
