My question as well. I can only assume it was a model put through serious paces or used during testing.Nicks already? How tough is it supposed to be?
I think he designed it.I don't think Jony Ive would have approved this one.
I’d totally wear it hiking. What an ugly pig of a thing.
Light reflections, not scratches. My question as well. I can only assume it was a model put through serious paces or used during testing.
I wish they had an AR feature on the store for this watch, just to see how it looks on your wristWow that is HUGE. For those of us with small wrists there's no way this would work.
I’d totally wear it hiking.
I might buy this if I worked as a zip-line instructor in Alaska or was a mountain climber or something, but as a regular Joe-schmoe that works in an office wearing business attire this is not the watch for me.
Glad it’ll fit the bill for some! But I’d way rather a redesigned classy stainless steel watch. Maybe next year
Reflections of the lights, not nicks.Already nicks all over the watch and protrusion edges
The battery life is what put me over the edge...ordered one. Figure if it's huge, i'll return and get an 8.I know. I'm a little worried about the size and ruggedness. I order it already too. I'm looking forward to the battery life!
would love to see it side by side with an 8
The Ultra is $799it's only available on the one thousand dollar chonky boi >_<
To which "one thousand dollar" watch are you referring?I've been waiting four years for an apple watch face that I could set to red and it's only available on the one thousand dollar chonky boi >_<
Given it made out of titanium, it's more likely it's just reflections from the show floor lighting on the slightly bevelled edge.Nicks already? How tough is it supposed to be?
It is natural titanium which is like a silvery gray color. What color is the watch is it like a bronze or gold?
No ravines or smashed watch hyperbole from me. Just seeing and commenting on what sure looks like several dings along the edge in the OP photo.I swear, this thing isn't even being used by the masses out in the wild yet, and you all have it smashed into pieces at the bottom of the ravine after it bumped against a rock. Sorry - I'm not THAT cynical. Good grief! I'm sure it will perform just fine and that the glass won't break any easier than any other watch an outdoor enthusiast might wear. And obviously they still give consideration to form, but it's not primary here.
Enter the Zip Code in the order for where you want to pickup.I have one quick question. I know I will be in my home city when the watch arrives, but the timing on the phone might place me in NYC. Is there any way to choose a NY store for pickup, when I don't live in that city?

Maybe so. Seems odd the way they're showing in the photo. I'd think if dents did happen, I would think Apple would pull the item. Still, a rounded edge would make more long term practical sense IMO.Light reflections, not dings.
All you folks talking about the market being small for large watches obviously DO NOT keep up with current luxury watch trends. The norm for the newer lux male watches is around 47mm. Even stodgy old Rolex offers that size in the Sea Dweller Deap Sea. Panerai is another. Lots and lots of others out there doing the same.Wow, not a big market!
