After less than a week my grey sport has already developed 3 little white marks on the border between the glass and the aluminium. If I didn't know better I would say it looks like paint has chipped off. This is very disappointing. It's not as if I've been banging it against anything. See the photo below of the 2 on the bottom left. There is another on the upper right side too.

I am seeing similar. I don't get it. Not sure if they were there when I got it but nowhere else is the grey colour chipped except around the border.

Looks like my band is starting to peel, thankfully no new scratches on the case (that I can see).

Scratches on the screen? No, but I also had a screen protector until recently.
Scratches on the case? Ehh, I sideswiped a file cabinet at the office and put a little dent in the case above the band on the bottom right. Not noticeable, but I know it is there.
What model do you have? SGS 42mm
Damages to the band? Yes, the "peeling" on the underside. The outside of the band looks fantastic though.
What band do you have? BSB
What is you typical day like? Wear all day just around the office, wear in the evenings at the gym, normally take it off when I go to bed.
Was any of your damaged caused by something not typical of your day? Nope, I get wary and take it off if I am doing anything that I think might cause damage.
and finally,
Approximately how many days have has your Watch been following you around on your wrist? Little over 2 months now.

Overall I am impressed with how it holds up. I had a screen protector because I would always knock my Pebble against things. However after about 2 months I have learned not to smack my arm in to brick walls, so we shall see how that goes now that I have removed it. My Pebble looked trashed after a month of wearing it, So I am happy my Apple Watch still looks relatively brand new.

My Sport screen now has 3 or 4 deep scratches. Not very impressed to be honest. None of my watches ever had this much damage.

I've had my space gray sport AW for 7 weeks. I use it all day every day, office, biking, walking, cutting grass. I've even worn it FOUR times during chainsaw chores in the back yard (darn branches keep falling out of my tree this year). It still looks flawless. Not a spec, scratch, or blemish, anywhere.

I've seen the same issue. I have been very conscious of the Watch being on my wrists and have tried not to hit it on things that would scratch the aluminum, though I haven't babied it. I still wear I to the gym (albeit with a Speck Fit on so I don't destroy it on the free weights) and I clean it regularly with a soft cloth and some water. Otherwise it's under the cuff of my dress shirt for 9 hours every day at my desk job.

Like you said, it seems really unlikely that those marks are from you or I hitting it on something, as the location of that very small surface would result in a scratch or chip on either the glass or the side of the case. At the same time, the anodize shouldn't just chip or flake off, its not a coating, its just a colored layer that is physically part of the bulk aluminum.

Sometimes dust will get stuck there, but that will wipe, rinse away; these marks don't. If it gets worse and happens in more places without me actually hitting it on something, I'll bring it in. I noticed the first spot about 3 days after getting it.

I've had my watch nearly four weeks, and the haptic feedback is getting weaker. I wonder if it's always bound to happen or if some will stay strong?

One way I can definitely tell is by doing the force touch to change the watch face. That always felt pretty strong like you were clicking down on a button, now it feels like a pathetic tap.

I don't think the Space Black SS was smart when they obviously have a long way to go in perfecting these things.

Have you tried a reboot? I mean, holding the two buttons until the Apple logo appears? Seems to have helped my taptic a few times.

However, a #deadspot appeared on the #retinadisplay
and apple says it was due to "hard pressure used on the watch" and therefore not under warranty - this in spite of new Singapore consumer statutory laws effective since 2014 - and the third-party service centre offered that I buy a replacement Watch... Feels fishy. Seems no one else has this "dead spot" problem which I have. Never dropped, impacted or used hard force on the screen ... I'm disappointed with apple thus far...

42mm SS BSB

Wear it daily from morning til bedtime. I smack it on **** daily. Case has minor scuffing that easily polishes out. Done mechanical + body work on my car while wearing. Owned since beginning of May.

Went back to the premium reseller, then straight to the thrid party service centre (Singapore), and after their claim of Apple refusal to repair or replace, called Apple Customer Service hotline which patched me to the US where I emailed details and pictures and the service slip number to them, hoping their engineers will take an earnest interest in this feedback.

2 months , SS with WSB. Bumped against the wall and car door a couple of times. Still looks like new.

What polisher do you use ? Does it look the same as new after a good polishing ? or does it have a different type of look ?
