Will you be switching to Verizon

Happy w/ AT&T, but would love for people to move so that the network becomes less congested and they can then complain about Verizon instead of AT&T :p

+1. Verizon is slightly better here then AT&T, but I'm sure that would change quite a bit if Verizon got the iPhone as well.

Nope. Not moving ever. I'm happy with AT&T. Never had problems with them. And if I am on CDMA (Verizon or Sprint), I hate not being able to receive a phone call when I am surfing the web . Plus, I just hate the RED check logo. So Ugly! :p

Yup, until this changes I won't even consider moving.

What about a verizon lte iPhone?

Always thought I'd wait until iPhone was on verizon but I finally caved for the hd camera on the iPhone4. The only way I'd go back if Verizon's iphone had a way better camera or other features or somehow the rate was much better. I'm one of the lucky ones who live in an area with decent AT&T service.

I don't "Love" any cell provider. They're a necessity. In general, I've been OK with AT&T. Decent coverage where I am most of the time. If the rumor turns out to be true, I WILL be interested in seeing whether there is similar bashing of Verizon's network once the iPhone numbers grow.

I dont understand how poeple still are considering moving to verizon (IF the iphone even goes) since it cant make/receive calls while using data.

So streaming pandora = no calls
Pulling emails = no class
Calls = no looking up something online

Essentially makes multitasking for voice over data useless

It seems like thsi should be a HUGE deal

Because it's not true? All the calls in your examples will ring through. The data session is interrupted and you answer the call like normal. You just can't use data while on a phonecall.

yeah but that means no maps while in a phonecall... uberlame.

Several years ago, in my pre-iPhone days, I did switch to Verizon from BellSouth (which later merged with AT&T here) because of a deal they offered on the then-latest Motorola razr. I switched back within 2 weeks for 2 reasons. First, call quality was poor compared to what I was use to with a razr on the BellSouth network, and second, Verion had crippled Bluetooth on their razr to such an extent that it was useless to me. That experience soured me on Verizon.

It's possible that Verizon's service has gotten better here in central Florida. However, I do know that I'm having zero problems with AT&T here and see no reason whatever to change. AT&T's 3G coverage here is great, both in the small town in which I live and at my lake house which is a ways out in the country.

Although some who post here seem to think otherwise, I don't consider cellular carriers to be a religion. :) I'll go with whomever I consider best. Right now, for me, that's AT&T.

Because the technology is ready for Verizon to support simultaneous voice+data. Most likely Verizon would implement this if they get the iPhone.

I think Apple may actually focus more on the Verizon release next year and our iPhone 5 for AT&T will be more like iPhone 4 (2.0). Like the iPod 5.5G in 2006. Just focusing on expanding the market.

Appe could change the look and remove the glass back and relocate the antenna for next year's, but I don't see a huge jump in new features and internal hardware updates. Who knows when LTE comes out? The timing can be off. Verizon will get the same look of the iPhone 4 and AT&T's next iPhone is a mild update with some minor cosmetic changes.

I've been using both Verizon and AT&T for years. I break out laughing when I read the fantasies many iPhone owners are having about switching. There's going to be a lot of shocked people.

I'll take an educated guess that verizon has same issues as Att but we just don't hear about it on this forum.

Spending close to $500 a month with AT&T for 4 iPhones and was told by the 5th and final rep there is no way they will give me any discount.

So who will be moving to Verizon as soon as they can.

I am currently with Verizon with 5 lines (bill always around $500), they aren't going to give you any discounts either. If that is your goal you will be disappointed.

There is a good chance Verizon may have better service in your area but overall the plans are the same price in the end.

Demand for Verizon iPhone

Everyone is waiting to Apple to release a Verizon iPhone, hopefully early next year. But how many of us will make the switch from AT&T, and for what reasons? Would you switch? Why or why not?

iPhone + roman numeral 5 = iPhone V

Who's everyone? I'm happy with my AT&T service and don't plan on switching anytime soon. The only thing I'm waiting for is an end to these "When is the Verizon iPhone coming?" threads.

Not interested in switching either. AT&T speeds blow Verizon out of the water over here, not to mention its GSM too, so I can use it anywhere, any network.

Verizon is suppose to cover us pretty good with 4G though, whenever that comes out, but I'm not complaining with 3 Mb/s from AT&T. Also, supposedly, someone wanted the cheapest data plan, Verizon is $15 for 150MB and AT&T is $15 for 200MB.

Simple answer, No - not planning to switch, especially considering that Verizon doesn't have iPhone.;)
