It would be nice if she could but unfortunately the drivers have no control over what they do and when. They have a load of stuff rammed in their vans and are told to deliver as many as they can before 7pm.

It might be on the van but that doesn't mean it's going to get delivered. My bf has already made plans to keep clear of me tonight, he reckons I'm going to be in a bad mood or something, not sure why?

Apparently, the machine is now in my home town. Not that this matters--I won't be home to receive it, as I'd taken yesterday (when they were *supposed* to deliver it) off.

For posterity, behold the deranged flight my machine took to come this far. I'm not convinced that it won't travel to Shanghai or Anchorage one more time, just for good measure:

apple says it is due for delivery on the 26th which was yesterday lol


Your guess is as good as mine as to where it is now, on its way back to china for another go around the world !!!!!!!


The worst delivery experience i have ever had, period. apple you should be ashamed in the 5 weeks taken, and ups you are just a joke!

and they even have the cheek to put in transit on time on the tracking page lol

27" i7 (non Retina), 1TB Fusion,NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB,16GB ram delivered yesterday I had ordered the retina Version and after doing a lot of reading decide to cancel it after two weeks and go with non-retina just for the fact that I don't do photo or video editing. i just surf the web

I HAVE IT !!!!!!! Bit of charm and it is on my desk... I must admit talking to the other people waiting I thought it was not even in the country let alone just not put on a van... She is out of the box and just enjoying some warmth Wines for me.
It is big Cannot wait to turn her on. Although my wife has just called it a very large iPad She is a Mac hater

I could not agree more. Fortunatley I am close enough to the depot to go and collect it, and more miraculously it was there Another couple of days of refreshing, stressing, refreshing etc. would have done this old boy's ticker in even more.

well another update. its arrived at barking!

also spoke to UPS uk and the woman there was getting well confused lol so i hold hope it maybe with me tomorrow, but knowing UPS that might be next friday for all i or they know.

anyway congratulations to all that have there iMac's do report back on the experience of the first switch on.

I think the experience from unboxing to installing stuff and copying files so far has almost made the whole process worth while... The iMac screen does still seem massive to me but my MacBook screen now seems so small its almost unusable

well, I'm one happy bunny. Problem is that I'm keeping one of my old monitors until Apple come out with a better thunderbolt and it looks ***** lol. Don't know how long I'll be able to live with it but a new one will have to wait.

Think I'm going to quit installing stuff in a bit and go to bed. Didn't get much sleep last night and I didn't realise just how much hard it was going to be putting away my old rig and unpacking the new.

Apple if you are reading this, its your customer speaking here that has already spent a lot of money on iPhones, iPods, iPads, Macbook Pro, iMac, MacBooks/Air, accessories and hundreds in the Appstore and iTunes. Considering the potential but most likely occurring LED backlight bleeding issue, the GPU heat, the lack of Target mode, the Intel Skylake refresh that's inevitably coming next year, you make it really difficult for me to justify it to my self to buy now/ stay on your platform. I expect more when spending over 4k.

You said you were losing patients - which made me think you must be a doctor/virologist and Apple really should be doing their best to get that Mac to you quickly so you can save those patients' lives!

I'm in a similar situation (lots of € spent on "iApples" ...)

I did my order on the OCTOBER 21st! and my order is still stuck on Shanghai since Nov 25th (!) ... absolutely nothing else since then! The delivery date ends today (Nov 28th)

I'm trying to convince myself to wait and to wait once again ... but it's already too much without an reasonable explanation for that! The initial delivery was 5 to 7 days! I'm now reaching the 6th week!

Something is going deeply wrong with those retina iMacs, Apple is definitely losing a lot with all this chaos. The only thing I'm getting from the support is "We're sorry"... I guess my boss would fire me for much less than this...

Mine left Kazakhstan at 6.13, its now 7.40 there. I guess the flight duration is about 7h to Frankfurt. Gonna hit Frankfurt at 9.00.
It then has to find its way across Germany.

Worst buying experience ever. Customer Service telling me to keep ringing UPS, Cheeky fekks treating me so indifferently like i just bought a pair of socks.
