You said you were losing patients - which made me think you must be a doctor/virologist and Apple really should be doing their best to get that Mac to you quickly so you can save those patients' lives!

If you are only losing patience however, things are not quite so serious...;)

Lol that auto type!

Mac is out to delivery to the Apple store....holding out hope that it'll be ready for pickup today, or tomorrow at the latest.

We should have a 'survivors of the Apple store' group

Haha, great idea!

I still can't believe that 1) I paid so much for a computer and 2) I had to wait so long from ordering till delivery.

After using it though I can say it was worth 1 and 2.

Mine arrived and its awesome!

no light bleed, silent, and smooth as silk:D

I hope all that are still waiting get theres soon:)

I can't believe how quiet it is. I turned it on and expected a whoosh noise when the fan kicked in but no, nothing. I honestly thought it was doa and nearly poo'd my pants when the Apple chime noise kicked in lol

I've been panicking about fan noise, back light blead, stuttering, gpu temperatures, anything anyones moaned at on here... then had a thought yesterday that I hope its not DOA and I have to do this wait again.

Shouldn't have panicked... its awesome.

My new hard drive enclosure I bought is well noisy mind. Think I need to invest in a nice new thunderbolt one but that can wait till my bank balance looks a bit healthier again.

This is the information I got yesterday on my good friend Nexus 7 about the new retina iMac order I did ... The Nexus, at least, was delivered earlier.

Today is still applicable ... 6 weeks and counting!

By UPS, my order is still in China ... since 4 complete days and counting as well.

I have never paid such amount of money for a simple piece of hardware. But this is the worst purchase experience I have ever had in my entire live! I could never imagine having such bad support feedback from Apple ... for me something is going deeply wrong over there. Supposing I'm having performance issues with this new computer, I guess they will be my last issues with Apple... I'm deeply sad and disappointed.

It seems getting out of china is an issue alot of people are having, sorry to read its taking so long for you.

I totally feel the same, I got 70bucks for it. Dont care about the money obviously, i just wanted to have the feeling that they care, the feeling that things got made right, they coudnt have made it 100...no. 70. its like three quarters of an apology.

I took 2 days off a really busy job to have enough time to get into my new imac and get the transition sorted (installations, setup) i dont know when i get free days any time soon.

imac is now in poland.

THIS. THING. IS. AMAZING!!! it was practically frozen when it got here, but it's finally warmed up and running with the extra RAM added and I am soooo happy! Now time to download my Adobe Creative suite to get back to editing. :D

@henriquede81
It is not far-fetched the status simply has not been updated yet.

I had that message too:
11/25/2014 6:50 P.M. We were unable to load the package on the plane as scheduled. / Your package was released by the clearing agency.

But mine is out for delivery today. So yours might also be on its way right now.

Der kommt bestimmt heute, also viel Spaß damit! :)

Hey genius (Hauke)! How could you knew yours iMac was to be delivered on that day?

My order was not being far-fetched because have been updated today and imagine what: "Shanghai, China 11/29/2014 1:57 P.M. Export Scan"

Some people used to say such stupidity like that: "Apple used to deliver before the expected delivery date" but this is completely wrong! Because Apple used to deliver, like everyone else, ON THE EXPECTED DATE! This follows a normal distribution or is this so difficult to understand? The expected dates reflect mainly the commutative result of millions of deliveries around the world. Why with Apple, which is using the same companies that other guys do, this would be different? All the genius over there can have a smart answer on this?

I wonder if the ones in these forums having this same speech are actual Apple support partners trying to make more believers on the non-sense?Nevertheless Apple order's website is keeping the non-sense:

At least UPS, apart from 4 days without updates, are telling me some realistic prediction DEC 3
ScreenShot2014-11-29at110319AM.png

Summarizing: OCT 21 >> DEC 3 ... 43 days! Great work Apple! And amazing work UPS!

The best thing on all this hilarious purchase are the support phone calls and emails but also because Apple just make me realize how useless the retina iMac it is! Because I couldn't wait so long, I kept using my loyal 2007 MacBook and also my 2010 Toshiba (Linux) to complete all the HD movie and Photography work I was willing to do on the missing iMac. I did my work on time :)

Thank you Apple for making me realize how fat-rich-1st-world-worried-guy I am! Now I'm sure I don't need this iMac as long as any 8 years old computer is able to do the very same job.

For the ones who have nothing better to do with the working days off spending this precious time at home waiting for a new computer: get a f* live!

I am sorry for this long post. Amen

After 2 days of playing with the new toy I can say that it is as silent as my old 2009 iMac (but I don't play games on it) and the screen is perfect. No dead pixels, no light bleeding, no yellowing. It is a very nice machine.
