Standard shipping is Monday through Friday. Saturday delivery is an extra charge.
Ah, OK.
I'm just really irritated because it's stuck in a warehouse about 10km away and it's so close I can practically touch it.
So close, yet so far.

Mine arrived in Tamworth, near Birmingham (150km from my house) at 16:00, scheduled delivery is Monday 'before the end of the day' so does this mean it could possibly be delivered today? It's only 1.5 hours' drive from my house after all. UPS says that delivery times are between 8am and 7pm or 'sometimes later.'![]()
Yes, probably! Looks exactly the same to me!Image
Ah yes, and you can see our Tamworth "departure scan" is different, which is probably where we've split!
Have you had any updates from UPS yet? Mine's still saying it left Tamworth at 23:07 but I've heard nothing since.![]()
Nope. I imagine they've trucked it to our local depots, and are waiting to be scanned in. I had a MBP delivered early this year, and it seemed to stop over the weekend, but then got a flurry of activity early Monday morning, then arrived on Monday. I imagine the same will happen with this - early Monday morning we get the arrival scan, then out for delivery. At least that's what I hope!
What work do you do that would benefit from the i7? If I had work that needed the i7 and play that wanted the better GPU, I would get both. If it hasn't started being built yet, you could call up and have the order changed instead of going through the return process....
Even if I keep the iMac format I'm still thinking about returning it and getting the i7 with the 2GB video card instead of the i5 with 4GB that I currently ordered. I figured my work will benefit more than my play.

The cpu benchmarks that we've seen are showing the power of the cpu and not what different workloads can expect from each processor. Most applications are not very multi-threaded and won't take advantage of the i7 which I s why I asked what you use your Mac for.Correct me if I'm wrong, but the benchmarks seem to indicate to me that the difference between the i5 and the i7 is much bigger than the difference between the 775M and the 780M in their respective areas.
Mainly using it for web dev, photography and video work. Probably editing one five min video a week. Lots of photography.
I had read that the i7 wouldn't be much use with the adobe software I use but all the benchmarks seem to show a big difference between the i5 and i7.
My gaming would be about 15% of the use of the mac.
My iMac will be delivered between the 7th - 11th of October yet it's still processing... so i'm not sure what to think.![]()
