Wohooo! My one was processing with possible delivery between 10th and 14th as posted above but now changed to Preparing to Dispatch! So hopefully, I'll get my baby on Tuesday as I've ordered Express Delivery. :)

Hello every one, i just brought my first iMac, I just received the mail to tell me that he was shipped, when I want to track it I just know in which town he was but nothing else, and I don't have a tracking number that I can use on ups site, if someone could help me to follow the road...
Ps: I receive in Germany.
Thank you for your help.

Just wait a few more minutes / hours. The UPS tracking # is going to show up then.

Just so everyone knows, my iMac was sitting on my desk a full week before Apple's earliest delivery date. There is hope you will get it sooner! (Also, this thing is a beast. Chews through anything I throw at it.)

Great news and lovely setup mate! Enjoy!

I finally made the plunge from PC to imac Saturday.....ordered the 27" i7 3.5ghz with 16 gig RAM, 1TB fusion and GTX780M......I take it the slow shipping ones are the ones with the higher NVIDEA card???

Take it my estimate will probably not be reduced cos of this?? Currently says delivery estimate between 16th-18th Oct.

So excited tho :)

Earlier delivery ;-))

Yesterday UPS estimated delivery on Friday 11, but today I discovered that they plan to deliver 10/10 some time during the day.

Excellent.

It seems the slow ones are folks building in SSDs. That's the only vague correlation I've seen with this sample size. Either way, it should arrive by the estimate.

UK.....I was tempted to only get 8GB ram and then buy elsewhere.....but I thought I doubt I'd need 32GB any time soon so may as well get everything from Apple this time....and if I ever wanted 32 I can just get 2 x 8GB from another source and not have to worry about selling the 2 x 4GB it came with!

Another correlation might be between folks putting in GTX780M as I had to wait a fair bit as well. But it's just a guess really, I'm sure the way how Apple sets its assembly line is more sophisticated.

Well my 24th order is still processing. I'm not annoyed anymore, just resigned to not getting it until the 17th.

Not sure I completely buy it as I've seen data in this thread where folks with the 780M + Fusion were getting shipped before those with 780M + SSD. Despite ordering later. I also got the SSD, and while Apple is meeting estimates, they are doing it slower than folks who didn't get an SSD.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a shortage or low stock on 512GB SSDs, or even simply high demand, which is a simpler, yet plausible explanation.

Are the 780s slower than the 775s to BTO? Sure, probably. Are they equal amongst themselves? Hell no.

I ordered in the early afternoon on September 30th. Estimate for delivery was October 9th to 11th.

It's still processing... not even preparing for shipment yet.

3.5Ghz i7
3TB Fusion
780M
16GB ram

Anyone else in a similar boat....???

Placed an order for a BTO on October 5 with these specs:

27-inch iMac
3.5GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2X8GB
256GB Flash Storage
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4GB GDDR5

Went with expedited shipping and have a delivery estimate around 22 - 25 October. Wishing it be shipped much earlier as this is a much needed work station replacement.

Went with the Flash Storage drive as my main files will be kept in my early 2008 MacPro, which I hope to use as a file server of sorts.

Still waiting..........

Good delivery times. I have the same specs (upgrading RAM myself) and it came 4 days earlier than predicted so I hope you'll get your one earlier too mate!

Looks great nice setup! :)

The only bad thing is that I have to wait to ring Apple tomorrow to reset my security questions so I can download Pages, Numbers & Keynote which I already have on my account. How ridiculous!
