Im from Denmark too, my "Available to ship" is 1-2 weeks i've waited 12 days by now.... Beginning to think same mistake is happening to me... What is your Available to ship time estimated to ? :) :(

By my old estimate the original it was surpose to arrive at my house from the 4th october to 8 october.

With 5 to 7 workdays of Availbale to ship time. I also ordered the 27" with some different modifications but I called them last firday to ask when they was ready to ship and they was OMG we are so sorry blah blah... I had to get my order canceled and reordered to get it to go as an actual order to Irland for actual processing.

----------

my new estimate for getting my iMac is 18th october to 20 october. :(

Wow, thats sad..... i hope mine is shipping tomorrow, else im going to cancel the order from my reseller Humac :)

Ordered Friday 4th in the evening. i7, 1TB fusion. Everything else top end standard 27". Still in the 'Processing Items' period with 16-18th Oct quoted. From reading other UK based guys here, I've got my fingers crossed for the end of the week...

The guy on the phone told me to call them if it doesn't arrive by October 11th, the last day in my delivery window.

It's not even preparing to ship yet, it has already missed that window!

I had the same setup and I was sceptical first but very surprised at the end. Also, my delivery left at night from Cork and has been delivered next day to Aberdeen, which was great so from "Processing to Dispatch" to Delivery it should only take 2 days tops. Good luck.

YES!!!! Preparing for shipment!!! Finally!!!

Thats good, although missing your delivery estimate by a week. I guess it only took an hour or so to update to the new status since you just said its still preparing lol

Maybe the guy pushed it though for you...

It might not miss the delivery estimate.. it has all the way until Friday, and it'll probably be shipping later today.

Ohh... I though that when it said preparing for shipment it actually means it's now being built and being prepared for shipment soon, which is why you cant cancel it anymore, but you can return it after you get it...

If it ships by tonight or tomorrow then i was wrong, but if it ships in 2-4 days its probably because its being built. Is their a more detailed page explaining the ordering process other than the order page?

At least thats how i interpreted this message since they didn't say within 24h like most companies would.

"Preparing for Shipment:
We're currently preparing your order and, as a result, are unable to modify it at this point. If items are being shipped directly to you, we'll send you a Shipment Notification email. If items are being shipped to an Apple Store, we'll send you a Pickup Notification email when they're ready to pick up."

Well shipment generally happens within 5 or 6 hours of "preparing for shipment," so if they only start building it at the "preparing for shipment" stage then that happens pretty quickly, and then it gets put in a box and is out the door.

Flippin' yellow screen

Well, I just got my 2013 27" iMac and the bottom third of the screen has a distinctive yellow tint. This is exhausting. It's on its way back now and I'll give them one more try…if the replacement isn't any better it looks like I'll be keeping my 2011 iMac for another year.

Eeek, maybe it happened in shipping?

We'll then keep me updated on how fast you get your shipped notification. I would like to know this as well that way when i see preparing for shipping i wont be disappointed knowing that i need to wait for it to be built lol.

No, it definitely didn't happen in shipping. It took me two 2011 iMacs to get a decent screen, the first 2012 iMac I ordered had a yellow screen and I didn't even try for a second one, and now this. I really think it's a luck-of-the-draw thing and some folks won't notice and/or won't care. I wish I were one of the those folks, but the yellow gradient (a uniform yellow tint doesn't bother me because that can be calibrated out) to me is glaringly obvious. Oh well, one more try...

When it goes to "Preparing for Shipping", the build is already done, and is at least in queue for the shipping side to take over. That means boxing, labeling, and putting in with the rest to be picked up by the shipping company that day.

It seems to get marked shipped at some point during the day up to and including the pick-up. I don't know exactly when they mark it shipped, but it'd be easy to mark a whole batch shipped at once when the pick-up happens if their process is done right.

Oh that sucks, any pictures of what it looks like?

Oh ok we'll thats good then.

Ordered early yesterday morning (10/7) and it's still "Processing." Hope it changes to "Preparing for Shipment" by tomorrow.

Ordered (requested replacement of the delivered Ivy Bridge one) mine the day after the announcement and the shipping time was listed with 2 - 3 weeks. It was later updated to 14/10 - 16/10. Last night I received the shipping notification pointing out the 10/10 as delivery date.

I got my shipment notification email at 5:45 pm. I posted here at 12:11 pm right after I refreshed the page and it had changed to preparing to ship. So five and a half hours.

Oh thats good. I'm guessing that all the macs we order from from different locations lol. Where is yours imacs starting point?

My iMac is coming from Sacramento, CA, and is currently slated to arrive on the 10th.

Edit: Does anybody know what "indirect signature required" means? And has anyone had success pre-signing for their iMac? I'll probably be here when it arrives, but not if it arrives after 6:00 pm.

First post here, first mac i've ever had ordered on Sat 5th in the morning, 27" i5 1tb FD 780m. Went to processing almost immediately and hasn't changed, says shipping 5-7 business days and delivery 16th-18th. I'm in the UK also.

Very excited about getting my first mac, been a PC man for 20 years and looking forward to all things OSX etc.

Also ordered an iphone 5s 32gb gold, although I did a seperate order for this as it will probably be a good 3 or 4 weeks I think before it gets shipped and don't want that item holding up the imac delivery.

Still have my fingers crossed! How long did it take you from ordering to arrival? I'm expecting my order to switch from processing to preparing shipment today or tomorrow. I'm not normally an impatient person but it's killing me!

Does anybody know what "indirect signature required" means?

"FedEx obtains a signature from someone at the delivery address; from a neighbor, building manager or someone at a neighboring address; or the recipient can also leave a FedEx Door Tag authorizing release of the package without anyone present" (source)
