Can't find anything there related to HE discount and shipping.

I don't think it made a difference to things as it went to processing very quickly and has the same shipping and delivery dates as others in the UK who ordered at the same time.

I ordered mine with my HE discount and it didn't affect the delivery time in the slightest - hang in there, it'll come soon - mine came a week early!

Mine arrived today! It's currently transferring my user from my old mac as part of the setup process.

I believe it has the infamous yellow tint at the bottom of the screen, which I don't really care about... you stop noticing it when you stop thinking about it.

Looks like it's going to take quite a while to transfer my ~ 1TB user from my Mac Pro over FW800/Thunderbolt.

Excellent news! :) Did your ship FedEx from Cali? If so, what time did FedEx pick it up on your tracking? Curious to see what time FedEx picks up at lol.

Eeek yellow tint thats not good. We'll if it doesnt bother you that much like you say, if you have apple care you can always deal with it for 2 to almost 3 years then take it in right before apple care is about to expire and hope that they screw it up or dont produce the screens anymore allowing you to get a free upgrade to the new one lol.

Holy Smokes! mine just shipped!!! I didnt even get an e-mail. I also ordered it on the 6th! Although it says no record found with fedex, so my guess is that it missed today's shipping day.

Edit: Just got the e-mail. Surprised it never went to preparing for shipment in skipped it. I checked an hour ago and it was still at processing lol

Thanks :) Now if my iMac ships tomorrow with Overnight shipping I wonder if I'll get it Sat. Fedex delivers Saturdays and I've gotten quite a bit of stuff as of late delivered by fedex but never an overnight shipment... LOL

I got the shipment notification 30mins ago and re-checked my fedex ground tracking number and its getting delivered tomorrow! Its coming from Fremont, a little surprised its not elk grove, but as long as i get it tomorrow I'm happy. When did you order yours?

btw mine shipped at 5:36pm!

Awesome news. I ordered it on the 8th. One of our fellow iMac buyer bought on the 7th and it shipped on the 9th so I was hoping tonight it would ship but not looking hopeful because its still in the Processing Items stage. Hoping maybe tomorrow.

What time zone are you in? Does your order status page still say processing items or does it show shipped?

Yeah some people got lucky to get it so fast. I ordered on the 6th. Since you ordered it two days after me i'd expect it to ship tomorrow, or Saturday (if they do Saturday shipping) otherwise Monday.

How did you order yours? I'm wondering if the configuration affects the shipping times. I ordered a 27" I7 3.5, 256ssd, 8GB Ram, GTX780M 4GB.

Hopefully :) I got the 27" i5 3.4, 3TB Fusion, 8GB RAM, 775M 2GB Graphics. The only changes I made to it were the Hard Drive and I wanted the wired keyboard because I need the number pad. Other than that it should be stock :-/

Under what circumstances does FedEx deliver on Saturday? My order shipped from cali today under Express 2-3 day. If it arrives on Saturday will they deliver?

Yeah I'm down in Louisiana so I'm not sure if they do or not.

It's not fedex but their sub company called fedex home. Since it was shipped fedex express you wont get saturday delivery. Only fedex home does saturday delivery. Fedex home is Tuesday-Saturday while Fedex is Monday-Friday.

Ohh.. I originally wanted to get just the SSD drive in mine, but then said screw it and figured if i'm ordering it and waiting anyways I'll upgrade the main components to help future proof it, since the video card and processor were only another $300 ish (forget the exact price)

Two 2013 models I've had had have the yellow tint. It's very distracting to me so I'm trying for a third…but if that one has it too I'll be sticking with my 2011 iMac for another year. I'm glad you can ignore it -- I wish I could. I got lucky with my 2011 iMac because its screen has been great.

Hell, if my third iMac has it, I'll probably just try to stretch for a Mac Pro instead and then I can deal with the monitor issue separately.

I'm glad you're enjoying your computer.

Yeah, I had to look very carefully, and my reaction to it was kind of like "huh, I wonder if that's what they call the yellow tint." But when I tried hard enough I could almost project the same tint anywhere on the screen... that's how faint it is. And this is on the grey startup screen that has a unified color throughout!

Edit: On further inspection I'm starting to doubt if I actually have the yellow tint. I'll be able to find out for sure once I can play around with different backgrounds. The transferring of my user still has almost 5 hours to go. It's been going at no more than 28MBps over FW800/Thunderbolt. Is that reasonable? Does user migration go slower than standard large data transfers?

On both of my computers the "yellow tint" was very noticeable -- for example, when browsing MacRumors forums, you could clearly see a difference in color between the top of the webpage and the bottom. It's not something that took much effort to notice.

28MBps (which is roughly 225Mbps) isn't too bad at all over FireWire. In practice you'll never see the sustained 800Mbps speeds that the interface advertises and it'll certainly go slower than standard large data transfers.

Well I could say what I noticed was a clear difference; just a very tiny one. I'll be really curious to see what it looks like once I'm in the OS and can experiment with web pages, backgrounds, etc.

If the apple status says "In transit to destination country - next updates expected in 4-5 business days - estimated Tuesday 15/10/2013"

But the UPS site says "In transit - on time - Scheduled Delivery:
Monday, 14/10/2013, By End of Day"

Do i trust UPS or Apple?

Hmmmm....and now i phoned UPS and they say Tuesday too.....but their website tracking still says Monday.......my missus is gonna kill me if i make her wait in both days lol :D

I have much longer wait than you guys. I purchased my iMac through a retailer on the 1st of October as I saved $370 bucks on the late 2013 27" Imac nearly maxed with the i7 processor, 16gb ram, 3tb fusion and the Ge Force 780m. The sales rep told me at the time it can be up to a three week wait, I hope it is not much longer. Oh can i see more pictures please i need something to dream about till than :p

I am from down-under so we are like family :p , for me the wait is no biggie. Especially when I can hear you guys chant about the wonders of owning a 2013 iMac. In addition to those weary souls who received the cursed iMacs, whom I pity :p.
