How on earth is my 27", ordered on the afternoon of the 24th, not going to arrive until potentially October 17? It's rather annoying that it might be more than three weeks from the point of ordering to finally arriving especially considering a lot of people who ordered later seem to be getting theirs much earlier.

Well, that's a huge surprise. Just got an email, my iMac will be here on the 3rd. Wasn't expecting that at all.

What config did you order, and where are you located?

Mine shipped from Fremont and is arriving tomorrow - will most likely be an Assembled in the USA model. It's a 27" BTO so I will provide screen feedback too.

It is literally at some Fedex warehouse within a mile from my home currently (funny when you think about it). I just hope that the building management that signs for packages is here when I get home after work tomorrow so I can get it!!!

Presign and tell them to leave it with someone there. I just presigned for mine just in case I am not here.

Thats a good idea. I will try and talk to them on the way out the door tomorrow morning... that or attempt to leave work early :D

you get the pre sign form on your apple order status page at apple.com then tape it to the door or whatever.

Ordered mine 9/26

3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4GB GDDR5
Magic Trackpad

My order status just changed to "Preparing for Shipment" with delivery expected Oct 9th - 11th.

Pretty pumped like the rest of you...

That was quick... Just like that, I got a shipment notification that my iMac will be delivered on the 8th but when I checked the tracking it said "estimated delivery Oct 5th" Coming from California... Ordered at 11:45pm on 9/26

Ah gotcha. Yeah I live in an apartment building where the mail is handled by the office downstairs so the pre-sign may not be an option for me.

Dude...even from my living room I can tell that you're running a fever. Was that a cough I just heard? I'm pretty sure your boss wouldn't want you to spread those germs all over the office. :D

Vancouver, Canada. 27" i5 with 1GB Fusion and 4GB video card.

Very similar to me, although I went with the SSD instead of the FD. I even live on the same coast as you, although a few hundred miles south in Oregon. As someone referred to it earlier, you're paying the Canadian Speed Tax :(

That was me on my previous bitchy post :) I wouldn't mind the wait but I actually need my iMac for work now as I started my company today and am struggling with my 2011 MBA - it really doesn't like Premiere.

Trademark it! Good luck with your business.

So 1 thing: It seems that Ireland is the assemble for the EU, and Fremont only for US ?

And the second thing...they are still issues with the 27" imac??

My 27" BTO actually turned up about 8:30 this morning (20 mins ago) still in the process of setting it up. The only thing I can fault so far is the build quality of the mouse! It feels 'loose' compared to my other. I'm giving my 21.5" to my mum and she will have the loose mouse. It feels horrible, like it's not fixed down properly, you only have to slightly touch it and it rattles.

Okay so I have a yellow tint to my screen side by side with my 21.5 and I also have some backlight bleed on the right hand side down the middle of the screen :(

In the first picture i think is the brightness , the 21.5 has at maximum almost the brightness
and the second picture i think you have to watch it in dark room and closely enough to see it...so not such a big problem

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie on the forum so sorry for any beginner's mistakes.

I've ordered my iMac 27 on 1st Oct upgrading to:
GTX780M
3.5GHz i7
1TB Fusion drive

and my delivery time is 10 Oct, 2013 - 14 Oct, 2013, which seems alright to me, what do you think?

I'm located in Scotland so I'm assuming the assembly will take place in Europe's HQ in Ireland?

Thanks

I hope my new iMAC does not experience any of those symptoms, however i think the yellow screen is going to be my biggest fear.

Ordered the evening of the 24th Sept (27" BTO)
Changed to Prepare to dispatch on the afternoon of the 30th Sept - 6 days including weekend
Dispatched later the same day
Delivered this morning - 8 days after ordering, which I think is pretty good for a BTO so soon after launch
