iMac shipping times

Overnight mine went from Newark CA to to Sacrmento CA. Tracking indicates it is still there, so FedEx better get a wiggle on if it's gonna get to Titletown U.S.A. by Friday.
 
So we are here at least 10 persons who ordered the 27". So we will start to have an idea if the issues with the LG panels are gone after almost 1 year.

So let us know
 
Do Apple select at random ?

Hi do anyone know if Apple take the orderes from a list of who ordered first or where they live or is it random who is the next they will start modifying an iMac for ?
 
I ordered my 27" on the 24th with this config

NVIDIAGeForceGTX780M 4GB GDDR5
3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive

It says 7-10 days processing and isn't due to arrive until between Oct 11 and 17. The order is still 'Processing'.

I guess I'm paying the Canada speed tax here.

Same boat... Also paying the 'speed tax' here in Ontario. However, yours is a considerably longer wait than mine is and we ordered same day. Are you in the northern territories?

Mine is also 7-10 days processing and due 8-11 of Oct.

No; oddly enough I'm in the heart of Vancouver so I'm hoping it's the earlier of the two dates I've been given. I'm always within the first day's delivery area for iphone, ipad etc.

iMac shipping times

I am in the SF Bay Area. Ordered BTO 27" iMac on 9/27. processor upgrade, 3TB Fusion Drive. Order Status continues to show what it has shown from the start:


Available to ship: 5 - 7 business days
Delivers: Oct 8 - Oct 10 by Standard Shipping

Still says Processing.
 
Mine arrived at the UK hub from Dublin during last night and if it gets moved to my local hub overnight tonight, it should be delivered tomorrow.

Apple says delivery on 3rd, but UPS say the 2nd (and as UPS have it, thats OK by me :D )

As far as I can tell, they don't go in order of who ordered first. I ordered the early morning of the update and I'm getting mine way after some of the others here. It's probably more likely to do with where they live and their config.

Barnsley eh? That's my hometown. You've also got the same delivery estimate as me. Let me know if yours changes - I'm still on "Processing Items".


Edit: Just seen that yours has changed already. I only ordered mine yesterday, so expect it to change tomorrow. Based on recently receiving two Apple laptops from China, and the amount of time it took for them to arrive, if they plan on meeting the 4th, or even the 8th, I'd say mine's coming from Ireland.

Barnsley, Yorkshire. Despite what customer services had to say, UPS scanned the item coming out of Ireland rather than china, not much difference haha.

Yeah, my date has been brought forward to 3rd :) coming from Ireland.
 
Ordered on Sunday, estimated arrival time is 9 - 11 October, standard delivery as express didn't make it come any sooner. Hope it arrives sooner than that! Can't wait! Still says 'processing'. I think it's coming from Ireland (I'm in South-East England.)

I ordered sunday and had no difference on the express delivery dates also!

What was the point?

Probably some sort of mistake I'm guessing; if UPS have started a thread saying that it's with them, it probably is. Unless there's some sort of problem, but I highly doubt that from experience, knowing how slick and efficient Apple usually is with regards to delivery.
 
Lol it's gone from various points in Ireland, from Dublin to Germany??? I'm in the uk, how strange.....

Oh, cool. Ordered on the 26th, mine just flipped to "Preparing for Shipment" too! Delivers: Oct 7 - Oct 9, so far.

I ordered on September 24, standard shipping.
BTW, the original delivery estimate was Oct. 3-7. I received the shipment notification 6:58 p.m. yesterday, which was about the time the package left its Fremont origin (25 miles of freeway south of me) for the FedEx facility in Sacramento (60 miles of freeway northeast of me). If the iMac was assembled in China, it must have traveled during the "preparing for shipment stage" because "shipped" corresponds only to transit from Fremont.

Just delivered by FedEx. Box is marked "Computer Assembled in USA." Shipped from Fremont.
