Fake

This is fake.

From Engadget.

Here is a link to the video and several pictures that weren't shown on macrumors.

perhaps its a prototype that was discarded. Anyway, my bet is its real, although not 100% that its the one we're going to see in september.

The correct link is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/covinoandrich/

and thats exacrly what I'm thinking. It might just as well include a camera, but the design is a PROTOTYPE. (everything starts off with a prototype kids)

That video looked pretty convincing to me. Would have been more convincing if he had turned the screen on.

looking at the photos on their blog there are a lot of vertical cracks going along the screen. if the screen wasn't cracked to non functionality I'm sure it would've looked really bad. remember this was a durability model

still he should've atleast done it

There are ways to fake a video. (take the backing off, drill a hole, insert a small camera, place the backing back on. Matter of fact we did not see bellow the screen when he flipped it up, so the hold could have gone through....
)

either way, we will see in a few weeks

Yes, but few people have such inconsequential lives to go through the trouble IMO.

I think if someone was going to pull a prank like this, they would throw in at least a little wrinkle (front facing camera, etc.) What was shown was exactly like what has been described in the past.

You can never tell with rumors obviously, but the closer we get to the actual product release the more substantial the rumors become, and inevitably we get most of the details revealed before the actual event. As you say, we'll know soon enough...

It's sort of obvious why he didn't turn the iPod on... It was kind of taken apart and wouldn't work anyway. And someone said something about the red motherboard being on apple prototypes. The video had a red motherboard. So I say that all of this is real but because it is a prototype, it isn't the final design.

I figured it out! I know that I could copy and paste this if I wanted to… S⃣

Open Special Characters from the Edit menu. From the View popup menu, choose Code Tables. Scroll down to Combining Marks for Symbols.

The name of the character you'll be looking for is "Combining Enclosing Keycap" (fourth column; second row). Type the letter you wish enclosed, then double click on this symbol.

While this may be a fake, there WAS the same thing with the mini... it looked photoshopped, then a video came up. Then a few weeks later, it came out. I'm putting some stock in these photos. But I'd rather see a totally new one.... but maybe in 4,1. Heres the link to the mini stuff. Sorry if all this has been posted... I was feeling lazy... :p

I mentioned it I just didn't include the link

Apple stock.... well I'm not sure if you consider a $2.00 a nosedive but yes it's gone down. I still remember the stocks constantly fluctuating during WWDC

I think it is real. Almost everyone called the Mac Mini spy shots a fake, and even Engadget (I think) called it a fake. In the end, it turned out real.

Obviously FAKE!!!

It does NOT make sense to put the camera peripheral in the middle knowing that the BLACK THINGGY is where the 3G/3GS cameras are!

If anything I'm betting my kidneys the camera WILL BE at the same place as 3GS

The "black thingy" is the Wi-Fi antenna, so if you want any Wi-Fi reception at all, you'll leave that alone. Goodbye kidneys.
