has anyone received their replacement case for the candyshell? havent been sent an email or anything about it since i requested it.

Haven't heard anything from them about my replacement yet. ATT store had some in stock today, but they were all the old version with the smaller cam cutout.
This is how the new Speck CandyShell new design looks like. They said it will be on the market next week, I can't wait to replace my old beat up one already
Which seller you got it from the Amazon? I would just keep it to get a replacement from Speck, since they till send you a replacement first. At the meantime you will have a nice case on it at least.
Sold and shipped by amazon. A bit disappointed b/c when I first ordered the lead time was pretty long and I thought I would get the new design. Then all of a sudden the ship date got moved up and I got the old design.
I *will* probably just keep and wait for a replacement ...
Has anyone noticed the older, iPhone 3G style sync cables hardly squeeze into the cutout on the CandyShell. Here's the cable I'm talking about.

How the new iPhone 4 cable fits (basically perfect)
And how the older style cable fits. This includes many 3rd party cables and car chargers. It's so tight it actually pushes out the thin piece of the case around the dock connector.
Anyway, I hope they decide to widen this just slightly to allow for more compatibility.

Be careful squeezing the older connector into the case .. you WILL break the bottom of the case. Yes, I am speaking from experience.

Sorry, missed your message. This one is the NIGHTSHADE PURPLE, wife's case. The INDIWHOA BLUE is nice, wouldn't mind it for myself.

Just as an update as to when the revised cases will be available, I got am email today stating that there is another production delay. It will be yet another 2-3 weeks till they are available. Of course take this worth a grain of salt as Speck has been saying this for some time now.
I think I am just going to pick a different case at this point as this is just getting to be too much.

Yeah I was originally going to get this case because I had it for my 3GS but this is just too much crap lol. Im gonna end up getting a Geometric or PixelSkin HD prolly
The Geo is a really good case, All the buttons are really far out so it's very easy to press and stuff, Only con thing in my opinion is that the glossy triangles on the back are fingerprint-magnets. And also some people might not like that the back is like raised as certain points and wont lay flat on a table.
Yeah, they told me I could continue to wait or pick any other case I might want instead. I am thinking about Geometric as well. Maybe the pixelskin HD though, but I think I like the uniqueness of the geometric more.
Um..I ordered the Speck Candyshell when they became available at their website a few days ago (black) and received it yesterday. Took pics with flash and had no problems, also the cut outs line up great. I don't know why you guys are being told it will be a few more weeks.
because we are waiting on replacement cases. We bought the "original" version and the cutout for the camera/flash cause a wash-out when the flash fires in low-light. Speck is replacing them at no cost to us, but we have to wait for them to ship them to us.
Yeah, the one that you ordered and got the other day is actually the old version as well. They even stated on their facebook page that those were made available for order by mistake on their site. Check to see how your pictures come out with flash use in the dark. I bet you will see very washed out pictures. But hey, if you are fine with that, then more power to you. Obviously Speck is expecting people to be fine with the case as it is. This is why they continue to allow it to be sold by third party vendors and AT&T. They know some will complain, and others won't so at least they will make some money off their already made cases rather than just having to junk them all. Economics 101.
I just got a reply back from speck saying that for there online website its going to be another 2 weeks because of a production delay...but in the meantime they do have the new cases shipping to att retail stores with the revamped version of the candy-shell. They do not have enough supply at the moment to open up all orders...plus they have their agreement with att to fulfill.
Somebody from Canada was looking for Purple speck!
I can't seem to find the post but somebody wanted a purple speck case bad. I checked my local AT&T store today and they have several. So if they still want one I will be glad to help them. the store is only a couple block away from my house. I also don't mind doing the favor someday I might need something from Canada. if you know where it is or who please lmk.
