Same problem, bricked an iPhone 6S Plus and iPad Pro. The new iTunes is also screwed up, it continually re-downloads the iOS software over and over again, never completing the task so the iPhone and iPad can't even update. Apple really screwed this up, their software quality has now hit an all time new low. Additionally with all the problems with Apple Music and iCloud I'm sure they'll be getting more and more people to opt out of these services now. Apple Music is the worst music App out there, all they have to do is download Spotify to see how it's done properly. Also no one is using iCloud to back up Pages, Keynote or Numbers or anything since it continually corrupts those files and loses them. I'm predicting all time low iPhone sales for 2016-2017 under 45 Million units since there's no compelling reason to upgrade either if you have an iPhone 6S. Also why can't they make Apple TV like Sony Playstation or Xbox One plus a VR headset, this company has billions in the bank and never seemingly spends it wisely, project Titan is prime example. Signed Pissed off, ticked off, and now bricked

It does not seem to be limited to a single device, but most reports from iPad owners are coming from those who have the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, which has had trouble with new software releases in the past. Multiple iPhone models also appear to be affected. From MacRumors forum member bit_bucket: Users who have their iOS 10 devices bricked by the update may need to do an iTunes restore if the update fails, which will erase all data. Some users have had their iPhones updated successfully and haven't needed to restore, but it has failed for other users. Here's the message users are receiving:In light of the installation issues some users are facing, those who are concerned about their devices being sent into recovery mode and bricked should hold off on downloading the iOS 10 update for the time being until more information can be uncovered. A backup before installing is also recommended.

Currently updating my 6. Went through the update process. Took about 10 minutes. Blank screen for 10 seconds. Started over. Hoping this works...
Oh really? So the idea that the only people coming to macrumors to complain are the ones it didn't work correctly for. Everyone it did work for just moved on with life. Echo chamber is alive and well. I'm not saying it isn't a problem. But it wasn't a problem with the GM release last week so the numbers have something to do with it.numbers don't matter, there were already millions of iOS devices before this update even existed. Ther have been other more stable releases where the numbers of devices was already huge. Once the sample gets to that point it becomes more or less the same in terms of % expecting an issue.
Not mine. My daughter's SE took a dump. What I can't understand is this is the same OTA software update that us beta testers got last week, and our updates went through fine.
How did Apple manage to screw this up over the course of a week?
