It's been the case because usually Beta 1 is more visual and surface level implementations of the new iOS and then they start adding the big features in the future betas which often came with the big bugs. But as others have said, since this is more of a quality of life and refining release of iOS, it could be different this year.

100% this. Once released, I will give it a day on the what's new thread and see what people are experiencing. Beta 1 was been pretty decent for an initial release.

Possible, but I seem to recall last year macOS 26 was on a two week sprint cycle. Might be misremembering, though.

Also, remember, with how good beta 1 is, it's very possible beta 2 won't come out until September and just become RC.

Beta 2 is always the best. I love looking for new/tweaked things. Hopefully they have refined Liquid Glass even further. It looks quite elegant now.
