iOS 5 bugs list

Apologies if bug already posted.

If you take a photo, a small thumbnail appears in the preview window at the bottom that links to the photo/photo album. If you delete that photo and return to the camera, the deleted photo is still used in the preview window.

Also, just to add to everyone else, battery life is half what it was (restore not fresh install).

Edit: Just tested twitter and i'm getting notifications from that.

See I knew I wasn't crazy ;)

I tried a hard reboot and I still got nothing except calls, texts, mail. really bumming me out.
 
Audiobook's don't show the correct track titles only shows Chapter 1, 2, etc.

I wish I could report this but I'm not a dev.

Yup I've experienced the same thing. Take a look at post #113:

Sometimes it works, most of the time it's really bad.


Another App bug.

Netflix is missing the instant que button on the bottom, won't let you enter text into the search field, and will not play any videos at all.



As to battery life, mine has been really good. I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and setup as new phone, then restored from backup. It maybe drains a little bit more, but not by much. I seriously think people are just playing with their phones more now that we have these cool notifications and that is what is draining it.

As for the notifications I've been getting them from everthing, Twitter, Words with Friends, Hanging with Friends, Facebook, ESPN, HeyTell, Instagram, eBay, Trapster, etc. Facebook has always been hit or miss with updates though.
 
Okay i've read through these 8 pages, so hopefully these possible bugs have not been mentioned..

1) When music is playing, before when receive a SMS with the ringer on, the music would briefly fade out, allowing the alert sound to be heard. Now I have noticed that the music continues to play at the full volume, often drowning out the sound of the alert. I missed 4 text messages with having music and ringer on, while using headphones.

2) In the youtube app the button in the top right allowing the video to be resized is missing. However double tapping on the video still allows the resizing.

3) Not so much a bug, but I think there should be a way to dismiss the notifications that appear while using the phone (such as a slide across to dismiss). They overlay blocking out buttons, and you must wait for the notification to dismiss itself if you do not want to view it right away. **Edit just noticed there is already a thread on this.. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1169657/"

To the OP,

If you start a post like this it's a good gesture to maintain it by consolidating all the confirmed reports and editing your original post to include them. That way people don't have to wade through 8 pages of posts and you're less likely to get duplicate bugs posted. Thanks!
 
Email Problems?

Has anyone started having email problems? I can receive but no longer send emails from any accounts (exchange or gmail). Looks like it email has been sent but there is no "sending" progress bar and the mail never gets delivered. This is happening on both wifi and 3g.

i've been using email perfectly fine for the last week, both sending and receiving
 
Oh men, this is really a death for the company.
Is this a BUG or a mistake i hope not a change... it's very bad!!

Under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > [Exchange Account] > Mail Days to Sync the "No Limit" option is gone and the max time is 1 month now. This is problematic as I have a mail folder full of older licenses and keys I need, and trying to either push the folder or manually refresh does not pull down anything older than 1 month. How do I get emails older than 1 month? :(

I'm getting a lot of these bugs everyone is talking about.

When using my iMessage app, it feels very glitchy. It's not smooth at all. When clicking on a conversation or clicking back to view all of my messages, it skips around. Also, my keyboard seems unresponsive sometimes.

That's the biggest problem I've been having so far.

Why is this DEATH for a company? This is a BETA OS. BETA BETA BETA.
It's gonna have bugs, but that's implied by the BETA stamp.

Like for instance, i can't send any pictures thru iMessage at this time. But am I yelling and hating Apple for it? NO. I have installed a beta OS on my phone and by doing that I acknowledge that it will have some issues and I won't expect it to work perfectly.

you done it as a clean install or did you restore from backup?

Not sure if it's a bug, if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's just my phone. I can't get the weather widget to show up. [Yes, it is turned on.]

No. I am loving it. Bugs aside. There is nothing in this beta that would make me go back to a previous version.
I am pretty sad about not being able to stream netflix and crackle though.

You know weather will only show in the drop-down notification pane, right?
It's not on the lockscreen. Wish it was though.
