iOS 7.1 Feedback

Only downside so far is I don't like the new bolder keyboard. Otherwise all is fine on my 5C and rMini. I do get the feeling though that the extra responsiveness on them is because of faster transitions not genuine speed improvements.

I'm happy with it. It's fast and my battery life seems to be a bit better.

The only thing it didn't correct from the earlier iOS (on my iPhone 5) is in the mail application. I have different personal and professional email accounts. Whenever I read an email in a particular account I back out of that account and go back to the app's first "Mailboxes" page which lists all of my email accounts. However, the next time I open the app, it always takes me straight to a particular email account's inbox (and it's always the one account that I use very infrequently). So then I'm forced to go back and choose the email account I want to check. Minor inconvenience to be sure, but it is a bit frustrating.

Anyone else with multiple email addresses ever experience this?

I've never had a problem downloading iOS from iTunes.

I've tried numerous times to download 7.1 and mine is timing out and failing as well. Trying through iTunes. First I get the download time of 20 hours and then it times out. I'm on a university high speed connection so I know the connection is good. Not sure what gives?

Please guys some one help me with this issue i found some one here face the same issue

I have 5s And every thing is smooth and fast except after activating 3G i found delay in opening apps for 1 sec then animation begin and without 3G every thing is fine and also can't find APN setting at all and this problem just happens after updating to 7.1

Waiting for any help

this problem happened with 2 other devices also but 4s and with same carrier so it's software problem

My new mail sound is too low. Every other sound notification is loud except this one.
Anyone else having this issue?

Things that frustrate me:

The new shift key
More misclicks on the keyboard
The new answer phone screen

Things I like:

Transitions seem faster

My 4S seems to be on its last days with its increasing lag and I am getting impatient in Apple releasing the next iPhone....

This is exactly what I see each and every time. It's not a huge problem as the firmware files consistently download faster from other websites but still an annoyance.

Help! Siri just doesn't respond at all since upgrading. I have a 5s.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Have you tried restating the phone or perhaps even restring network settings?

Surprising slow to install on my iPhone 5s, after download.
Hope that's not an indicator of it's responsiveness once installed.

I do wish I could say it improved my battery life, but alas, not even close. I've dropped 13% in 4 hours and I've literally not used the phone once (except to just check it to see what the battery % was).

Maybe I'll try start deleting apps. Will say that the TouchID seems to be working a crap ton better, though.

Really happy with the update, my phone is faster and the battery life for me is the same and I'm satisfied with it.

Same results here. Battery is considerably worse than it was on Beta 5. A friend of mine noticed a decrease coming from 7.0.6 as well.

rebooted the air after the refresh problem got worst, no refresh so far which makes the whole experience 1000000x better + no crash. i am sure the refresh will come back but with no crash, i can settle with this.
i still believe the refresh problem wont go away unless we get 2gb+ ram

I'm really liking this upgrade so far. It's been very stable and I'm LOVING the new bold fonts for the keyboard, email, etc. Some of us have (ahem) older eyeballs and it certainly helps with the clarity as least for me. I'm also liking the new "button shapes" in "Accessibility" for the same reason. Better clarity.

Only issue I've seen so far at least on my 5s is Google Now. That app is keeping my location services indicator lit up so I've shut it down for now. Not sure if it was affecting battery life or not but better safe than sorry and I don't use Google Now very often so not a big deal.

Battery life so far seems about the same. Can't really say one way or the other but nothing out of the ordinary. Cheers!

Did you set your computer to not go to sleep ever and then start the download? That's what I had to do when it was indicating 8 hours to download. The first couple times I tried it timed out when it was estimated to take an hour. Success on the third try and then returned energy saver settings to before.

This by default goes directly into the account you have specified as your default. There's a setting within MCC that you can change the default mail & calendar!

Can you clarify what MCC is? I just checked my email accounts and the one it keeps defaulting to is not my default email address, but maybe I'm not within the MCC you mention.

Thanks.

No more animation at app switching when Reduce Motion is on. The app jumps right into your face. Bug or feature, I can't tell. Apple makes crazy moves these days...
