Anyone noticing a problem with starting apps from a search result provided by Siri?

For example, asking for a restaurant will provide the rating as given on Yelp (which I have installed) but I tap that and Siri says Yelp isn't available in my App Store.

However, if I tell Siri to "launch Yelp" it will happily comply.

My messages crash when trying to send a photo. But it works when going into the photo directly and sending that way.

When in pictures, usually you can select multiple items and send them, but the options to do so are gone.

I'm on Vodafone Australia and the carrier settings seem to have been updated on beta 3. Mine now says '4G' instead of 'LTE' as well.

I suspect this may have been changed for most carriers except North America since AT&T is using the fake '4G' indicator there for the HSDPA+ service, so they need to differentiate between that and real 4G LTE.

The carrier name in the status bar has also been changed from 'voda AU' to 'vodafone AU', which is entirely too long. I miss being on 3 and having just '3' up there. :p

Uh, yeah, no. As of right now, 4G and LTE are the same thing. Apple had to differentiate the identifiers in the status bar when they introduced LTE because they let AT&T display their 3G HSDPA+ service as 4G for whatever dumb reason.

FYI before beta 3, both 3G HSDPA and HSDPA+ service on Vodafone AU were both identified as '3G', while 4G LTE was identified as 'LTE'. The only thing that's changed with beta 3 is that the 4G LTE is identified as '4G' instead.

It sounds like you fell for AT&T's lies.
Verizon in US (CDMA) never had 4G (or HSDPA+) and just 1x, 3G, and LTE--still seems to be the case with beta 3.

If you watch a video full screen in landscape, it still shows the status bar on top.

Also definitions work now if you select text. It even lets you exit out of the screen.

I had an issue earlier with Siri where I told it to send a message and when it displayed the message it was going to send, I noticed that one of the words was misinterpreted and so I tried to click the cancel button, but it was not working... in fact none of the buttons seem to work from the Siri screen.

Anyone have this issue?

Is anyone else's sleep/power button really inconsistent? It's been this way for me since Beta 2 where the sleep button simply won't work. I will click it 10x and nothing will happen but other times it only takes one click and its instant on and off. I'm 90% sure this is software and not a broken button. I was hoping it'd be fixed by beta 3 but it's just as broken/inconsistent.

- Music.app Album covers I would say about 90% disappeared for me? (They were fine in betas 1 and 2)

Funny, 90% of it was black for me in beta 2. Now in beta 3, it's all there.

- Frequently visited places feature in Notification Center is missing in iPod touch still, it was there in beta 1.

I suspect this feature may not be coming back to iPod touch.

Yeah, none of what you say is inconsistent with what I said. HSDPA+ is not technically 4G, that is my point.

You might want to roll back to iOS 6 and see if that's still the case. It sounds like it could be a hardware issue that just happened to occur while you were on iOS 7.

My friend has this same problem and he's on iOS 6.

I don't believe this has been posted yet.

iTunes Radio now includes options to "Tune This Station" (click the "i" button above the album artwork in Now Playing) for more granular control of song selection:

Nobody has mentioned this and this was a HUGE thing for me. In safari when you hold on a link and the popup comes up, theres no longer "open link in background" in the link. This was something that was added in ios 3 or 4 i think and i loved it.

Its very efficient to go on a news site for example, load all links in background then go read them. Now all it has is open in new page so basically when you open link it switches tabs for you.

Im afraid for some reason apple is removing this feature, cos i cant see it dissapearing without them knowing from beta 3. Was there till beta 2.

You can have it one way or the other. If you go to 'settings>safari>open links' you can chose wether you want the "in new page" or "in background" option.

Isn't the whole "3g, 4g, LTE" thing, just a US GSM thing? As in, it only differentiates between 4g and lte on tmo and att in the us since they started all that confusing faux 4g mess?

Thought it was always more clearcut overseas. Not sure about canada.

Since updating to Beta 3 I've had problems with LTE/WiFi.. It's all connected fine and all but internet doesn't work until I do a sleep/wake reset.. then it works for about 2 minutes.. :(

Black home screen

I think this has been mentioned somewhere else but my home screen background goes black when you do the following

1. Start any app (camera, weather, notes etc)
2. When the app is running, double tap home to get to multitasking menu.
3. Close that app fully by swiping it up.
4. Return to home screen and it will be black background.

edit : But when you do this for phone app, the home screen background becomes the same as the dock's background.

Phew thats a relief. Did my settings reset someohow with beta 3, or is this new this version?
