For anyone with the Ztotop Folio Case - does the front flap stay magnetised to the back of the device when folded behind? E.g do I need to hold it in place with my hand?

I got the JeTech Folio Case for £9.99 and whilst it feels nice (I don't use the Apple Pencil so no room for that sticking doesn't bother me) - the front flap has a fairly loose feeling hinge which shifts left/right/up/down abit. The result is when you're using the device with the front cover flipped to the backside, there's no magnet to lock it in place. If you don't hold the flap it'll drop down. Overall just makes the 12.9 feel extra unwieldy.

Yes (although not terribly strong). However it’s more than sufficient to hold it in place

Might have to get that shipped from the US to the UK then, that's a major factor for me. Just to confirm that's held in place when the front flap is flat on the back, not in the triangle stand shape?

If you are referring to the Ztotop case, it’s available on Amazon UK.
Edit - looks like no sellers at the moment - it was available yesterday and is still listed but can’t buy.

Yes, fully folded back with entire surface area flush against the back. Sleep/wake magnet at the edge holds the entire thing in place

Do we know of good glass screen protectors yet for the 2018 IPP?
I installed one from a company called “Supershieldz” on Amazon and I’m happy with it- bought it because I was pleased with their protector for my iPhone XS Max too.

No issues with the responsiveness of the display? I've read some comments of people saying that screen protectors cause issues.

I've dallied with screen protectors over the years, ranging from back in the Palm Pilot days through various iphones and ipad models, trying both the older ones and glass ones. Without fail I end up taking them off eventually. They are not as high quality as the existing glass, change the feel, discolor in some way, some have changed color representation on the screen, air bubbles, etc. etc. etc.

Go naked, or go home is what I say. ;)

No issues for me, I installed it because unless you’re in a completely dust free environment 100% of the time, using the Apple Pencil tends to leave permanent light scratches on the glass. At least on older iPads.

Will do! I can't take credit someone posted it on another thread. I just can't find the post to give props!

I think that might have been me that posted it. I saw that you had some issues with the sleep/wake function though. I've not had any issues so far with it. Sorry you didn't have much luck with it. As you said though, other than color, it basically looks like an exact knockoff of the Apple one. Saved me a good amount of money so far. Seems to be a good enough until more options come out, though if it ain't broke......

Screen protectors are an absolute waste of money, and pretty much always have been. Don’t understand people’s obsession with getting them. You can literally run a nail across your screen and it wont even scratch it. I think a SP makes the phone/ipad even worse. Been keeping my iphones in the same pockets with my keys bashing against them all day eevery day without a screen protector at all the past decade. Never a scratch on my displays and when i go to sell them all my phones/ipads are in pristine condition, even the buyers are usually amazed (and happy).

Let me say first that i hate screen protectors as well and rather not use them.
However, i do not agree that the screens nowadays don’t scratch. Perhaps keys don’t, but a single grain of sand can screw up your whole screen. I’ve seen several iPhone X without screen protectors from friends, family and colleagues that look horrid.

I always use one on my iPhone because it goes into my pocket. My iPads however never gotten a single one.

Well i have no idea what in the world you guys are doing with your phones. My screens have NEVER been scratched. Camping trips, hikes, work the beach, i take my phone everywhere with me no protector. Never ever scratched, even in the slightest way

The only thing I don’t like about screen protectors is installing them. They're kind of a pain even with the hinge method. Once on and there’s no bubbles or dust underneath, I couldn’t tell if the screen had one or not. Peace of mind for me

Anyone with a Space Grey 12.9 in combination with a white folio?
I’m really digging the clean look of the white folio, but I only find pictures of it on the silver iPad.

It would be lovely if some manufacturers would release a kind of bumper case for the new iPad pro’ s which protect the 4 corners of the iPad Pro , but would still allow the Smart Keyboard folio or folio and pencil to be attached the the iPad. Something like rhino shield did.
