Here's some benchmarks from the Ars review:

I went and read the Ars report.... it seems the iPad Pro is that tech step toward making the iPad Pro into laptop smasher. With the kind of computing power it is getting, they could expand out the iOS until the lower-end laptop line is erased in favor of the iPad.

The benchmarks are amazing for a tablet. Apple will probably begin cannibalizing the Mac laptop line in a few years, when the software catches up to the laptops.

With a wacom tablet you can. Many people right now are using laptops and desktops to produce mind blowing art, animations and drawings.
People tend to forget things easily, I wonder how did we manage to listen to music before the MP3 came out....

On a serious note, yes you can draw on MacBook, how do people think we were drawing before the iPad Pro came along (Apart from "real Pencil™" and paper)?

Got a call from Apple online business team and from Apple Store Frankfurt, that I can haz iPad Pro, but they are out of pencils.
Again, WHAT?! This Pencil works only on an iPad Pro AND is its killer feature. How could it not be available while iPad is?

What a joke, Apple! Really embarrassing. Even your employees are speechless and ashamed.

P.S. mine is now 1-2 weeks, but if you try to order pencil now, the shipping delay is 3-4 weeks!! I am speechless.

Just got the iPad Pro 128GB Cellular for in store pick up. BUT, why is the keyboard and the pencil not available yet??? That is the main reason I'm getting the iPad Pro!

Same here! I did go ahead and select in store pick up so I can have my ipad
Is the Pencil at least available to try at the Store? My nearest store is an hour's drive and I don't want to go there only to find out I can't try out the pencil :(

I'll find out and post here.

I assume you posted the same thing in Microsoft forums about the Surface Pro keyboard?

I'm personally happy to have a keyboard designed by Apple to work with the iPad for a change. Nothing against the 3rd party makers, but the experience was never quite seamless to me... I expect this will feel more natural.

If it was possible to care less about what Microsoft is doing i would be doing that.

The only thing I wished they did was include a touchpad. I'm not sure why they did that. I hadn't tried the keyboard yet, but I'm sure its going to be very good. They are very good at ensuring the user experience is top notch

USA no in store pick up of Apple Keyboard? Does this mean limited in store stock, and they are trying to ration them? Or they simply don't have any in stock in the store? I guess I've seen this before where peripherals come out later or are even more constrained than the device itself.

Picking my IPP at the local store today. Would have been nice to have the keyboard at the same time.

iPad is available in area stores today, but no pencil or keyboard. Do I really want the iPad without the accessories now, or wait until later? This is disappointing.

The pencil and keyboard where available from the store I picked up mine this morning at 9am London, UK time. It would have been a deal breaker if they didn't have the accessories.

Reviews are pretty much what I expected, though everyone seems to be impressed with the Pencil.

Here's some benchmarks from the Ars review:

The numbers certainly look impressive, I'll say that. I need to read more of the reviews at this point to get a better perspective if this bad boy.

I understand the desire for a touchpad from a legacy/laptop perspective, but iOS and its apps aren't built around a cursor interface. I don't understand how a touchpad would be of use here.

Honestly, on my Surface Pro, the touchpad isn't that useful either due to the small size. I almost always use a BT mouse with it instead. The touchpad on my MBA is the only laptop one I've found myself able to use efficiently as all others (Windows-based) have just seemed too small.

Yeah I see your point, and I've not used the iPad Pro yet, but I'm coming from a perspective of using a Surface Pro 3 and the touchpad is absolutely crucial. I can certainly move the cursor around with the stylus but its much easier and better with the touchpad.

Were they listed available online, or just sitting there in the store? I'm debating on whether to try to sneak a trip to the store here this morning before my daughter's birthday party or risk waiting to pick my order up until after and them potentially being out of the pencil and keyboard that they say aren't available for pickup when checking online. If the pickup status online has been wrong, I just may have to make a quick side trip this morning.

The execution of this looks better than I anticipated, but I will be holding off for a bit. I have the Air 2 which works well for my needs right now. My ultimate tablet set up would be the non cell iPad pro for home (I can always use my phone as a hot spot for the rare times I'd take it out, and the Ipad Mini cellular for on the go.

You're in my boat.

I'd love the Pro, but having had the Air 2 for only a year, it would be too indulgent to get the Pro now. I’ll wait for the next version and see if I can resist temptation then. I think the Pro is £100 ($151) too expensive at the moment.

iPad Pro available for in store pickup today.
Apple Pencil ships in 3-4 weeks.

Awesome...just awesome.
That's what I got, though I opted for free delivery on Monday. Disappointing, but with three infants and a three-year-old to care for (au pair arrives tomorrow from the Czech Republic!), and Thanksgiving (US) coming up, and my new Apple TV and my new iMac 27" retina to distract me, those 3-4 weeks will fly by.

My iPad Air got broken during the move back in May, and I decided to wait on the Pro to replace it. It will be nice to have an iPad again.

I went to the Bromley store in the UK at 9am and asked about the iPad Pro, pencil and keyboard. After talking to a few managers and making a call, they said I can buy the iPad and pencil but would have to wait till they unpacked the keyboards. I walked away with the 128 grey Wifi with pencil.

RDP... That is the one thing I would love to have a touchpad for. In fact, it's probably almost exclusively the Microsoft apps for which I could see a solid touchpad use case. And probably where most of my keyboard use will be. Ok, I'm almost convinced on the touchpad idea...
