I heard Joe Rogan talk about this lol

said he's using iPhone 11 because he couldn't get it right with Verizon

really glad my 14.1, 12 pro doesn't have this issue on AT&T

Signal has been better than any other recent iPhone in fact

Seriously? Where did u see this?

UPDATE!

If you are affected by the loss of service issue please contact adam@mattoxlaw.com
He is collecting class members as we speak. We need to hold big tech accountable!
I’m officially done. Tried 2 12 pros and 1 pro max. None can hold a signal at my house and it is crucial I have a working phone with a newborn on the way. Still going to be part of the class action lawsuit but I cannot continue to pay for this phone and not have it work. I wish u all holding these phones much luck and again if u have issues please contact that email to be part of the class action suit!
See u in the funny papers.

Haven’t made any calls today and won’t until Monday, as I am traveling with family. However, all calls since I got the new phone have been 100% successful with no drops. And the phone is significantly faster. Plus, I’ve been getting way more spam calls, which I believe is due to the fact that even the spammers were being sent straight to voicemail like others who were calling me. So somehow spam is a positive. Hoping when I make calls next week the luck continues.

Actually ran into a vzw engineer yesterday near a tower. He explained that apple is pushing modem updates but they are in the process of updating every tower so handoff issues are fixed. Could take up to another month or so before it’s resolved. Sounds like a complete Charlie Foxtrot of not being prepared. Not sure how much of this is fluff or true.

So is this generally a Verizon specific issue?
T-Mobile appears to have the lesser of issues. It seems to be impacting a significant more amount of Verizon customers. I just happen to be passing near the tower and saw the van side the road. I was gonna ask regardless of what carrier it was.

This makes sense. Issue is more sporadic and typically in low coverage areas. Patience...

Not sure if it was you, but I saw a person post something similar in the Apple discussion as well. But I agree, turnaround time is ridiculous. These phones have been out for several months now...

If I go in my basement I lose cellular. Then when I come upstairs I have to toggle airplane mode off, then on to get it back.

I have not tried to see how long it would take to find it on its own.

Did not have this issue on my Xs Max. Just on my 12 pro max Verizon.
Still happening on iOS 14.4. Wonder if I should call Apple?

Registered just to add two more people affected.

My Wife has the iPhone 12 Pro
I have the iPhone 12 Mini
We use Verizon and had new 5G capable sims installed in the Verizon store at Thanksgiving.

We had great reception before the iPhone 12. Now we have poor reception.

I've tried all the suggested fixes and like the rest of you, the issue persists. I switched us from 5G Auto to 4G LTE only, with no improvements

I drop calls all day long. I have horrible reception all day long.
Everyone, please see @whattodo11 's tip above.

Husband and I have had iPhone 12 Pro Max since the day they can out and no service issues. Well as of a few minutes ago I had no service on my iPhone. We are with Verizon and have 5G off on both phones. I rebooted my phone and have service again.

I’m with you there. Totally happy that my 12 Pro is working as expected on AT&T. I went through the whole connectivity issue with 2 different XS Max phones 2 years ago. It was awful and both were returned.

I’ve had my 12 Pro Max unlocked on Verizon since launch day. I haven’t had any connectivity or no signal issues since I’ve been using this phone. I switched my unlocked XS Max to Verizon in August 2020, to see if that would fix the no service and dropped calls that I was receiving when I was with T-Mobile but I still experienced those issues on Verizon as well. Upgrading to the 12 Pro Max has been a rock solid upgrade for me and I couldn’t be happier.

The ones who aren’t having issues. How close are you to 5G/LTE towers and rural vs city? I read 5G can only travel a few 100 feet vs LTE that can travel upwards of 10 miles. Take away 3G which probably goes farther and....
