So far, iOS 14.5 beta 1 and 2 have been worse reception-wise. I have to turn airplane mode on and off at least once every other day to refresh the connection.

I bit the bullet and got the 12 pro on Verizon. No problems so far in Tampa area, but only have had it for 2 days now. It’s on Verizon version 45.0. I ended up putting the old sim from my 11 pro max in it. I will not change to the 5G sim unless I have problems. Thanks for all the info.

I will be upgrading once I have 50% of it paid off. I might just go back to Android though. Depends on how reliable the 13 is. I’m kind of a flip flopper when it comes to which OS I am on. I do love how much more stable and smooth the apps are on iOS than android. But if I can’t make phone calls or send sms to people when I’m at work, then that’s a problem. I’m hoping Verizon or iOS fixes this problem soon.

I did a trade in promo when I got this piece of junk so if I end my monthly payments before the 24 installations end I lose whatever remaining portion of the $600 credit is left. Looking back it was a dumb thing to do but the $200 more than I would’ve got for selling it was nice when I still thought the amazing new 5g iPhone would be solid enough to last two years.

This issue is holding on like a hair in a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Holding out hope the 14.5 public release will fix our software/network issues. If not, back to being annoying.

That sucks. I’ve been in that boat before. I sold my pixel 4xl when I bought this phone. The pixel was a great device but I couldn’t stand the amount of forehead on that phone. I was waiting to see if the Pixel 5 was going to be a flagship or mid ranger. When they released that phone, it made my mind up for me. I have no problem going back and forth between Android and iOS, though, as I know no phone is perfect.

So update with hubby and my 12 Pro Max phones both with Verizon. He sometimes has no service. Now with my phone I am starting to have no service one or twice a week now.

My reception is unbelievably bad with this 14.5 beta modem update. I’ve already restored and it didn’t fix this issue. I know the risks I took, just really hoping they don’t try to push this out as a GM…

I’m ready to get rid of this phone if they don’t soon fix this. I’ve haven’t had dropped signal or calls since the days before 4g. I’ve been with Verizon for close to 18 years. This is unacceptable. There’s absolutely no reason why I shouldn’t be able to make calls or text to non iPhone users as long as I’m on WiFi. I live in a high population area in Metro Detroit. What’s the point of offering WiFi calling if it does nothing?!

Note that the grass appears greener on the other side. I am with T-Mobile and use an iPhone 12 Pro Max w/ iOS version 14.x. I have had dropped signals / calls / Wi-Fi issues since day 1 of the purchase. I have contacted Apple, T-Mobile and Support teams on other mediums. There has been no answer for me thus far.

I am on AT&T, 12 Pro and no issues whatsoever. Had the phone since late November and have not dropped a single call or experienced any loss of signal. I get 5g service in my area.

Yeah. That’s what concerns me about getting a different phone. I’m aware that it appears greener on the other side. Its always a game of what can you tolerate on any phone. I’m hoping it’s just a Verizon issue in my area. Because I really do enjoy this phone. But I’m not sure I can really call it a phone at this point. Signal strength wasn’t an issue on my previous Android phones that I’ve used in the same area. Or even my 6plus that I had 5 years ago.

I’m not sure how long it will last but iOS 14.4.1 has my Verizon 12 pro in Mach 3 mode

*Edit* soon as I typed this, boom signal loss. Came back on it’s on like it’s been doing. Phone is a super faster when it has service though
