Pixel 5 also offers a bigger 6" display and 90Hz for $699. Would you consider those to be features?
but a really slow processor, would you consider that to be a feature? Look, if you want a pixel go out and get one and enjoy it. There is really not great shakes differences between Android/iOS or google, Samsung, and Apple. They all make great phones, some do some things marginally better, but no amount of snarkiness changes that. I prefer Apple products because the design in software and hardware is clean and well thought out, the devices and software are integrated beyond anything else out there. (e.g. My phone can unlock my watch, my watch can unlock my Mac, I can play music on any device and send it to the Homepods, I love it. You are OK if you don't

I strongly disappointed that they didn't move to USB-C at least on the Pro series, like the iPad Pro.

Why would people want Lightning in 2020?

Because of the billions of Lightning cables and accessories that exist and have been purchased. And because no one is connecting an external monitor or high speed storage to the iPhone.

The article mentions the multi core Benchmark score is much slower than the iPad Air.

I could have sworn the air had 3 performance cores and 3 efficiency cores. Rather than 2 and 4 as in the iPhone. Has anyone got anything that discusses the air A14?

The Air uses A14, not A14X. It has 2 high performance cores.

The difference in multi-core scores might be attributed to thermal throttling.

Hmm. I was considering “downsizing” from the 11 Pro Max to one of the 6.1” models, now that both have larger LCD screens. A 6 GB Ram 12 Pro seems like a phone I could keep for a few years...

All the iPhone 12 phone models have OLED screens.

Since iphone 12 goes thinner this year to 7.4mm thank God (hoping Apple isnt lying) that the frame is from 7000series aluminium and not that 6000series we got into the iphone 6 plus and the ipad pros
So bending should not be an issue
Will the stainless steel of the IP 12 Pro make it more resistant to bending?

Apple gives you 350 Euro for an iPhone 11 Pro, which was 1100 Euro days ago. Wow!
I can’t even get an 12 mini with selling the superior 11 pro - that’s ridiculous considering the 11 pro isn’t a year and works like charm.
You’re likely to get significantly more selling to a third party.

That’s exactly what’s keeping me at Apple. Still I would’ve loved a 120Hz or at least 90Hz display on the new iPhone 12 Pro. I mean, Google already did it with the Pixel 4 last year. What’s so hard about it?

On one hand it's good Apple isn't cheapening out on DRAM on flagships but on the other hand the upsell to pricier Pro models. In comparison the $699 Pixel 5 has 8GB DRAM compared to $879 iPhone 12 that has half the DRAM at 4GB.
True, but then again you get a SoC that's vastly superior to the Pixel. The one thing Apple does best is marrying their software and hardware, where less specs often lead to superior performance vs other chipmakers.

Sure, if you're in need of 1TB storage, you're probably running multiple productivity apps. Hence more RAM.
Every single iPad Pro & iPhone 12 Pro model has 6GB RAM, right from the 128GB model up to 1TB.

why do people obsess over the color of the iphone when they are just going to put it in a case
some of us never placed on a case...so the colour does have some little effect...but even without a case in general you see only the screen

Prey tell how much ram should Apple give the iPhone 12 then? 12gb, 24gb, 1024gb, 2,000,000gb?
Once you demand more ram you never shut up and enough is never enough.
More than 4 gb. Competitors’ phones have twice than that.
