If this is true and they add a telephoto lens to the Mini, I am in!
If you’re buying a new iPhone every year, you’re doing it wrong. Or are you saying you’re hopelessly addicted to buying new phones and can’t help yourself and need Apple to keep you from being tempted by not making new models available each year? Easier/better for everyone concerned to just upgrade when you actually need to (old phone breaks or is missing some feature you actually need). I’m still using and iPhone 8.The only green technology coming from Apple these days is in the form of cash in their bank accounts. If Apple cares so much about the environment, they would stop their yearly iPhone updates and move to updates every 2-3 years. Why couldn’t the 12s be 5G and have the bigger batteries? Why, because they need a feature to sell each year. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of dislikes from those who love getting a new Max each year thinking it’s so great and Apple is being so innovating, but in reality Apple is making calculated decisions on what new feature they release each so that they can milk the dead smartphone business until their car is ready. Change my mind.
Of course it does .....My 12 Pro Max has fantastic battery life.
"The iPhone 12 mini, which is the smallest iPhone Apple has made to date, has performed poorly in sales compared to the other models." - it might be because of the fact that the iPhone mini (despite it is called mini) is still too big and too heavy compared to the original iPhone SE (20% heavier than SE). If it were smaller and lighter, the sales figures would be certainly much, much higher.
And thank you Apple, because of the larger battery capacity the new iPhone 13 will be even heavier.
I haven’t upgraded for years and don’t plan to until my phone breaks. I’m saying from a marketing standpoint making mirror updates every year just to sale more phones isn’t green. If you’re buying a new iPhone every year, you’re doing it wrong. Actually, I am wondering if this increase in battery size will be “compensated” with a more energy demanding iOS 15."iPhone 13–iOS 14.6 Ready"
Oh my god. Move on!still no solid news about Touch ID
I say this as 2021 iPad Pro uses the M1. So not a big leap if they'll use it as well.I would be extremely surprised, as it would be the first time that apple didn't develop a new core for a new iPhone.
The A15 will be based on the same core design as the M2, and will appear in iphone 13.
and comes with a free phone papoose so you can carry it around too ;-)My 12 Pro Max has fantastic battery life.
You must have missed the part where the new phones will be thicker.figures........
sod the iPhone 12 buyers....... how about coming up with a higher capacity battery that can be fitted into existing iPhone 12 devices via a paid swap out appointment - am sure a lot would appreciate that. I'm not dropping another £1k+ for a new phone for the sake of an hour extra battery life.
But it would barely be an improvement on A14, except for multiple core stuff, which doesn’t matter so much on a phone. People would rightfully be very disappointed if the next iphone has the same chip as this year’s, but with a couple more cores.I say this as 2021 iPad Pro uses the M1. Economies of scale baby!
Yes there will be a shut off so battery life will be killer, I know Samsung has the option to run it at 60. I’m sure apple will implement that as well. Can we just shut that sh+t off to save battery?
You don't notice the much faster internet downloading and faster website rendering between iPhone 7 and SE? How about less app refreshes when switching between apps?I see. In a sense its a bit counter intuitive but I get it.
Its just surprising that throughout the years, all these advancements in the chip didn't really translate to better battery life for everyday tasks. If you do browsing, texts, and some light youtube then in a way your battery life should be much better when comparing iPhone 7 to iPhone SE now but the reality is that my battery life is pretty much the same with any iPhone I've had. So for the average phone user - where are really the advancements between iPhone 7 and iPhone SE (2020) in terms of battery performance?
On my phone I don't really use intensive apps. In reality, it truly is : Whatsapp, some light safari, messenger, mail.

This is entirely the reason for the major update in battery capacity.Wow. Pro Max might be the star of the show. We'll need to see the effect of ProMotion on battery life though.
