Squared off edges look more modern, but it just isn't ergonomic. My old XS Max is so much easier to hold than my regular 13 Pro. I would be interested in what a rounded back and squared off front would look like. At the least, it'd be something new from Apple.

Ugh. RIP full screen glass protectors. I hope this rumor doesn’t turn out to be true.
Love the X,XS and 11 Pro design/displays but they are not glass screen protector friendly.
Regardless it’s going to have Ceramic Shield. Most likely stronger, durable and built for extreme conditions just like the Apple Watch Ultra.

One of the things I appreciate and want to continue, coming from using a Samsung Note 9, is the FLAT screen and the adequate distance from the phone case to the active screen to easily register screen gestures.

Similarly, have an iPad Pro from the 'new style', narrow bezels and they are often are a real pain with a truly protective case on, especially when going from landscape/portrait to portrait/landscape and having to re-calibrate my touches from one to the other.

This is sounding like change for change sake, and favouring styling over DESIGN, which DESIGN is why I buy Apple in the first place.

Apple ripping off Samsung as usual with just enough modifications to make it seem like it isn't a full blown copy. Curved screens do look futuristic and it's immensely satisfying using gesture navigation on curved displays.
After 4 years with a Note 9, I am FULLY in favour of the Apple flat screen for both gestures AND phone case protection of the entire screen. I do not miss the pointless curved for curved-sake Samsung 'aerodynamic styling'.

The ONLY thing better on the curved screen is the Samsung sub-interface that brings up a sidebar menu of contacts, etc on a single swipe. However, that should be doable with an iPhone and flat screen, anyway.

Curving the bezels is fine. Just don't curve any portion of the screen that actually acts as a display.
Or any portion of the bezels that actually provide protection to the flat screen.

I used to wince looking at the unprotected curved screen on my Note 9, with the bezels dropped down AND the Otterbox protective case dropped down to the same level, leaving the screen unprotected from dropping on any kind of edge, like a table top or chair.

Aesthetically wise I prefer the curved bezels however, the squared off edges of the 14 Pro somehow give me a better grip. So far I didn’t drop my 14 Pro one single time vs. the 50x times I dropped the 11 Pro. Lol.
Agreed. Just a solid frame w/ a very subtle curved edge to polish any edge point already on the 14 Pro that keeps from wedging into your hand. The cover I have fits like a glove. It's rubber dampening exterior is perfect for control and minimal thickness added.

I gave up using screen protectors when I went through a ton of different versions on my 6S and none would stay on without lifting along the edges, I haven't used one since. I'm just talking about all the other users that won't use a phone without one installed. Screen protectors are right up there with cases as far as must have accessories for most. The 12,13,14 pretty much eliminated issues because of the flat display

This website provides a weekly highlights. For my uses I think it would be more productive to only visit monthly over a micro update.

Seriously... thinner bezzel for a product line with a known September release schedule.

They should make a square phone with both rounded and flat bezels opposite each other, a camera on adjacent faces and Roberts your father’s brother.

You can tell me that until you’re blue in the face, I still prefer using screen protectors that can be easily changed. They don’t affect the quality of the display and protect it very well. I hate the micro scratches and wear on the oleophobic coating that happens so quickly.

I never had any screen protectors on my iPhones, zero problems with scratches.

I prefer to use naked iPhones, without screen protectors. But ehr, rounded corners, you mean, rounded edges? When coming from the 3G I welcomed the industrial design of the 4S up to the first SE. Then I got the SE-2020, rounded edges, way more difficult (for me) to handle and sometimes outright slippery, just like that old 3G. I tried some cases but never found the ultimate one.

As Apple seems to have decided not to continue the SE nor the mini series, I bought a 13 mini just two days ago. So glad to be back to that industrial design. Don't think I'll ever go back to those rounded edges. To my surprise my leather iPhone SE-2020 sleeve fits the 13 mini like a glove.

I cannot shake-off the feeling Apple is turning into a fashion company instead of a business technology company. Apple already alienated me enough to get a hybrid watch from Withings instead. Wonder how long I'll be using an iPhone.

So the lowest quality sapphire (small scratches at level 6 and 7 - then big scratches at level 8 and more). But well, even this sapphire is great. I prefer to get screen protector which I can replace...
