Yea, the Sheath is a pretty solid case. Still in mine, installed the new buttons today and put it straight back on the phone. When they introduce that new bright orange Sheath, I'll be all over it
I do love the black/orange contrast but definitely be interested in an orange sheath. Would look good with black buttons.

Believe it or not, I actually have these coming. They look much nicer than the regular old clear skins. They ship from China and hopefully I'll have them sometime next week. Ordered them about 7 days ago.
They were like $13.00 for two but they charge like $10. for shipping.
I do have a tracking # - just waiting for them to hit the US

No kidding! I’m excited to hear your thoughts. I had them all queued up for purchase then I balked because there was only one shipping “speed” and I figured they would be coming slow boat from china…. Patience isn’t my strong suit when it comes to my online orders lol.

I spoke with Pitaka and they are saying the metal plateau surround on their Ultra-Slim cases does not touch the glass back on the Air. Mine definitely did, but perhaps it was defective. To find out for sure, I have an Ultra-Slim Black/Gray 600D arriving tomorrow to get to the bottom of it. I’ll report back.

Thick enough to last and not cause phone damage?
Prior silicone material was like that, but I’m not so sure about this latest model.
I frequently see people (not dead ones) putting lotion on their hands and using their phone right after. Not a fan of that… I believe it’s common in everyday life though.The guy also put some lotion on his hands before he started an aramid case video

Before tap-to-pay I used to hate when cashiers used lotion, then touched my credit card. I’m very finicky about that kind of thing. It feels weird / slimy on the plastic card 😳
I have very dry hands in the winter, but I refrain from using lotion unless I’m not touching anything.
I bought similar ones on AliExpress which work the same for much cheaper.

i have one for the air. it weighs around 45 grams and i notice it compared to the apple shadow case. i love the feel of the case. i've said it before, if it didn’t have the slope and huge plateau cover and just a normal camera surround it would be on my phone permanently. i put my phone in it for a few hours at a time but go back to the shadow case.
I can report - as someone who moisturizes her hands frequently, especially in the winter - that the Apple Silicone does get greasy this year, too.
