Thanks! Yeah, I thought the silver buttons might look good with the black Paragon on the silver phone, but it looks so much better than I expected.

You've got the Phone Rebel Gen7 already, don't you? I was looking at it earlier and realized the replacement buttons say they'll fit Gen 5/6/7. Have you tried the buttons from a previous gen on the Gen7 and do they work?

I ask because I have the Gen5 from my 15 Pro Max still and I'd put the titanium buttons on it, so if the ones from the Gen5 will fit the Gen7, that would save me from needing to order new buttons.
I don't have the Rebel Gen 7 yet.

Why is DBrand shipping as an example November 19-28? Why such a spread?

No idea. It was going to be here Monday; now Saturday.

I finally got my dbrand grip case delivered for my 17 Pro Max. It was stuck in customs for half a week.

This makes the third dbrand case I’ve ordered in the last month. Going from a 17 Pro to a 17 air to finally a 17 Pro Max. I am sold on this design and very happy with it. Using the iPhone 17 Pro Max with this case is so much more enjoyable due to how grippy the sides are. The tech wave case for the 17 pro was OK but for the 17 Pro Max, it was just too slippery for me.

As long as dbrand doesn’t change too much, they have a lifelong customer here.

I wrote thank you in the special instructions and got this back. Absolutely made my day. lol!

Keep it that way. It’s over engineered for no damn reason to a point of having too many moving parts. Fit around the screen is loose, camera control button slides around, glue marks on aramid fibre, top is flimsy.

Best part? They put a plastic spacer between the metal plateau cover and metal screws. Guess what cracks within a few hours? That’s right, the plastic bit. Talk about over complicating a damn phone case.

bitten and gone for a dBrand Grip case for my iPhone Air, have also gone for the real leather skin with it as well + 2 screen protectors. Will report back to see how this case is. Any else rock this case on their iPhone Air ?

Hopefully the port opening for the USB C will take my usual Anker cables.

Ordered mine last week; all but ain’t moved. You may get yours before me.

The discount this week vs last has me mad.
I forgot about customs. It will probably snail mail around Germany for a while before it gets to me.
When did you order? Per dbrand on Reddit, if you ordered not longer than 72h before the sale, you are eligible for a discount as well.

It’s not slippery to me. The grip on the sides counteract the slippery back. I don’t feel like I could drop the phone. It’s honestly the best case I’ve felt in my hand this year thus far. I’m stopping my search with this case.
I hold my phone on pinky shelf and 3 fingers on the back to prop it up. I like that the Sheath has some “grit” on the back to keep phone more secure. I remember I tried the 15 Pro Synthesis that had a smooth back and didn’t like it because of that.

Ordered a Dbrand grip and it supposedly shipped out the next day??? Tracking isn’t available but it’s through Amazon?

And on another note Alpaka is having their Black Friday sale flight pro bag as well as a lot of others are on sale. I picked up a mini tech sling (1.5L) and a flight 2l for $70+ bucks shipped.

Anyone can tell me please which case have more screen clearance (aka the LIP :))) - Sheath or Grip? I have for now a film screen protector but will put the glass one eventually. BTW any recommendations for glass protector that’s not too thick?
Thanks!

Which cases are the hardest to get off the phone from your experience?
From my experience with the fits I’ve experienced:

Sandmarc Leather
Benks Armor Air
Latercase

I know there are some others but just can’t think of it right now. I know those aramid cases I have above depends on the fit you get but the Benks Armor Air is by far the hardest to get off. I feel I’m going to crack the case every time.

Benks Armor Air will straight taco on you too on removal if you aren’t careful, too! It is very challenging to get off, to boot.

Case Closed
  1. Pitaka Ultra-Slim, Gray/Black. 21 grams. Very close to caseless, both in feel and (lack of) protection. Highlights the thinness of the Air.
  2. Apple Clear, Frost. 21 grams. Nice and light, accurate fit, decent grip but a little greasy.
  3. Beats, Granite Grey. 32 grams. Excellent form factor and fit. Super comfortable. Great buttons. Slippery.
  4. Andar Aspen, Camel Tan. 37 grams. Beautiful leather. Decent fit, but could be more precise (typical for leather). Buttons are sharp and too prominent.
  5. Mous Limitless, Aramid. 43 grams. The most secure and grippy feeling of the lot. Extremely clean construction, everything is perfectly aligned and precise. Really no flaws, but it does significantly change the feel of the phone (for better or worse). Expensive.
  6. Mous Limitless, Walnut. Ditto.

That’s it for this round. The only potential cases that could draw me back in would be a Phone Rebel Gen 7 with a thin CC button (like the Apple/Beats), or a Caudabe Paragon with the same. Neither of those are going to happen though.
