are the paragon and synthesis buttons interchangeable? already got silver buttons on the synthesis so wouldnt wanna waste money on extra buttons if swappable between them 2

I'm not sure. I know Caudabe says you need to get the buttons that are listed for the case you're using, but they might work. I'd try it, but I about killed my fingers putting the silver buttons in the Paragon and Synthesis, so I'd hate to have to swap them again. LOL

yeah same i almost broke my thumb nail lmao i thought i destroyed my synthesis in the process 🤣

on the dbrand grip the back still scratches. i don’t know if it’s easily scratched but i haven’t used mine much and there’s a circular mark where the magsafe ring is. it’s either from my magsafe stand or my ohsnap grip. i think the new back with a rough surface was used to aide with skin removal. in the past, i couldn’t consistently get a clean removal of a used skin. i’ve had like 4 or 5 grips over the years. i do like the new back and haven’t installed the skin i got with it.

I've only had the Grip on the phone for a little while, but it's super nice. I may not even install the skin because I like the texture of the naked back.

It's a bit thicker than the Paragon, but not enough to make me not want to use it. I do find it interesting that DBrand removed the felt on the inside that sat against the back of the phone, but I don't think that makes it any less protective. The fit is so precise, too. All the camera, flash, and sensor openings are dead centered on everything.

For the sale price, it's 100% worth it.
How would you compare it to the Paragon in terms of drop protection? Which “feels” bulkier?

It’s interesting that the Paragon and Mous weigh around the same.

So will you be going 100% Paragon or going back and forth between the two?
Running the Sheath today. Going to see. The only reason I’m running the Sheath today is because yesterday running the Paragon in certain instances, my phone fumbled in my hand, one drop on the grass and almost a drop in a store.

Yesterday I was in a store and got a call. As I was removing from my cell phone pocket started fumbling in my hand. However once I got the Paragon locked in my hand the grip is great. There’s also lots of times in situations where I rest phone on 3 fingers minus thumb and pinky shelf and in that case it also fumbled but dropped on the grass.

The Sheath all around grip is amazing for me. I know lots don’t like it but I prefer the added all around grip. However the Paragon side grip I like better.

The Paragon feels better in the hand ONCE I get it in locked my hand. It’s the transition from my pocket or even picking up from a table that’s the problem.

Like I said before put the side grip material / texture on the back of the Paragon and it would be an absolute no contest banger IMO.

Still in limbo…
Sheath with more compact form factor and plateau coverage but almost no front screen protection and Mous without plateau cover but with better protection overall. Please help! :)
In the meantime waiting for Decoded leather case, couldn’t resist as a leather lover…

Sheath no front screen protection? Mine has good amount. Any more would be over the top on my Sheath.

Do you have the Sheath?

For me I want something for chest high drops which is the Sheath. However if I wanted something more rugged like if I was in the sh*t I would have a Mous.

In my experience, it comes down to the texture of the Sheath; it seems most people either love it or hate it. Personally, I tire of the texture pretty quickly. YMMV.

The Mous is a bit lighter and is significantly more protective, but some find the back edge uncomfortable in the hand. I think this depends upon the size of the phone in relation to the size of your hands.

Trade offs…

No I don’t but all the two million reviews I saw showed that the lip is pretty minimal.
Probably it also depends on a thickness of screen protector? Which one you personally use right now?

Just ordered the precise midnight paragon cause of the texture. i get the need to change cases after awhile cause the grip gets abit too much over time, and the synthesis is a little annoying with its lips

might be a good thing that paragon has a smoother back for a little break up in the texture, hopefully its not too slippery for me

I have the Air this year, so haven’t tried the latest Paragon, but on the 16PM I thought the amount of grip was fine. I liked it much better than the Sheath on that phone.

I had high hopes that the Paragon would be a Sheath killer. After handling it for couple days it has its pros and cons. Has slightly more cons than the Sheath for me.

pretty damn hard to beat the sheath this year tbh
It’s not a sexy case but checks the boxes.

I call it a “set and forget” case because it does everything good(not great) but not the greatest in specifics.

Remember the Magpul cases? I miss them. Made in USA and heck of a case.

Here’s the knock off.
