Mous carbon fiber is in. It’s way over priced for what it is, that sai, definitely a high quality build, the cc button seems to still be able to be taken out but would require a lot of force. The tpu sides are dim everywhere, which is a positive. That said, my black tech woven is a better deal imo.

Tomorrow is the true test l- when my cactus is set to arrive.
Does it have the banana bow like past Mous cases?

I'm waiting on your word before ordering the cactus ;)

I have the Ringke Alles for my 16 Pro max, which looks nearly identical to this version for the 17 (other than the obvious differences at the camera hump). It’s a very well made case for what it is (full coverage, beefy), though as you’d expect, it’s quite heavy (IIRC the 16PM version is around 65-70 grams). It’s a two piece design, with a soft inner core and a hard outer shell, similar to the Spigen Tough Armor and Otterbox Commuter. I think the quality is better than either of those. There were a few reports of the kickstand coming apart from the back plate, but I didn’t have any issues with it. I’d recommend it if you like this type of case.

I’m currently running a 15PM with Nomad Rugged. Using a wrist strap daily and changing to a full on Peak Design camera strap for travel.

With a little kid and the iPhone pretty much doing all the things required (music, movies, navigation, camera) on trips. It needs a bit of childproofing 😅😇

Looking at how the lenses are recessed, are they easy to clean smudges of? (Fingerprints from a grabby toddler)

Edit:
Will go to the 17 Pro this time around. Better battery than my current PM and easier to handle.

That's the case I bought for my 17 pro max orange. I don't see the point of buying that color and then covering up 2/3 of the back with a different case. We'll see how well the clear cases hold up to scratches.
I had this same case on my 14 Pro, 15 Pro, and 16 Pro, and I'm getting it for my 17 Pro as well.

is that the horween or normal one?
im still waiting for horween to come back in stock but nothing yet :( . i may just go with the normal one...
I don't like the modern leather on my 16 pro, it's very slippery and hasn't changed, can compare Mrs has the horween folio, it's much nicer.

Normal Ecco leather not the horween version

I only care about how smooth and soft it feels. I don’t like those that feel like plastic or pebbled leather.

But I don’t think that’s the case, not even with the regular Ecco leather, right?

The iPhone Air looks neat, but once you put it in a case (ANY CASE) the whole point of its design is gone — it’s clearly meant to be used naked. That’s why I’m hesitating, even though I love the fresh new form factor and would give up the Pro’s better camera and battery for it.

For now I’m keeping my 17 Pro Max in orange and grabbing a clear case from Ringke or Spigen (the Sienna Tech Woven looks kinda nice but it still hides most of the color). I’ll still check out the Air on the 19th — maybe it’s so good I’ll finally risk going case-free.
Not if you go with Totallee @ a mere .51mm

Try EME20

This is the combo I’m going with. Case arrives on Tuesday.

Air in black flipping Sold Out; bollocks! Will have to wait longer now.
Oh well, at least I'll see the pics and comments on it from others on here, lol.

Is the kickstand sturdy? I’ve never owned a case with one, but my wife just ordered some random case with a kickstand. It seems fairly sturdy.

Wonder if there is any good case with a good kickstand as well?

I’ve only ever had the regular leather products from nomad, but i have had two cases, and the leather folio for my iPad as well. They’re smooth but become grippy as you use them and as they patina. I’m clearly a fan. I have heard the horween leather is nice but could never justify paying 85 dollars for a case

Edit: definitely do not feel plasticky

The entire point of the Air — even in the name — is how thin it is. Slap a case on it and you kill the one thing that makes it stand out.

I’ve seen the hands-on videos, and even Apple’s own clear case makes it look like just another regular iPhone. And the bumpers are Way too chunky.
I'm not sure about this — and I don't really think we can be sure until Friday — but I'm inclined to think that an Apple-designed bumper will probably allow the design to "speak" through the minimalist enclosure.

Got the Apple clear case but didn’t realize there’s an opening. It didn’t look like there’d be an opening on the bottom on the website. Not happy with the bottom opening.

Also got the Nomad Lunar Gray thru the Verizon site. Nomad’s site was charging $6 shipping but Verizon was free shipping.

Added this to the growing pile of case orders. I think it will look nice with the white/silver phone, and at 20 grams it’s light as a feather. I appreciate the fact that they’ve moved the logo from the back to a more discrete location on the side.
