Mostly cost.
In my case I would have definitely been good with a 17 base. When taking pics 99.9% of the time I point and shoot. I’m just an average Joe user to begin with and the pro features aren’t a benefit for my uses that I notice. I’m a heavy user and the only reason I went pro was because of the battery life.

So, Mous owners -- I've been reading the reviews on Amazon, and it appears that the outer TPU layer of the frame can with wear and tear separate from underlying PC framework.

Are those extreme cases*, anomalies, or a more common risk?

* perhaps such as users with clammy hands and death grips; ever seen a used car where the steering wheels are absolutely trashed?

Glad you like it. What color iPhone? Silver iPhone with precise stealthy.

I have the blue iPhone 17 Pro Max as I really love the blue color despite most people like silver or orange 🙂

I added the celestial Blue Buttons and I love this combination. It still looks sleek. I also have the cobalt buttons but they stand out to much.

The quality of the pictures are not the best, but here you go:

Grip is here and damn this thing is ugly asf with the leather skin 💀 it does feel good and much slimmer than previous versions but probably prefer the sheath and rebel over this grip as they look much better than this monstrosity

Skinless Grip is the way to go 😉
I didn't even bother trying to install a skin. I knew I would misalign it, bubbles at the slope area etc. Also, these can attract dust and lint around the edges.

I think this case has spoiled me, everytime I think about buying another case I immediately remember how slippery all of them. Maybe dbrand cured my case buying addiction?

Finally decided to try Latercase. Took a long time to ship here witch some extra taxes, but worth for wait.
Perfectly made. Fit is excellent. Bottom part is the best that I saw with aramid cases. No pinkie pain at all. Even with magring only 14 grams!

Came also with case for AirPods Pro 3 and it's great too.

I’ve seen the reports, but I’ve had their cases for years and never experienced this. I’m not a habitual phone dropper though, and I usually have enough cases in my rotation that they don’t get an inordinate amount of wear and tear. Mous does acknowledge this issue and claim they’ve resolved it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Good to know. The one I had last year was loose as a goose, sent it straight back.

Was it difficult to install the external MagSafe ring and get the alignment perfect?

I installed it "by eye" and it was very easy. The strength is impressive.
I also like little screen lip that I can put my phone display down. This is step back on Pitaka, where is zero screen lip.

So now I will rotate Arc with Latercase.

My Latercase will be here Saturday. Good to hear the fit is good. So many reports of loose fit on the Pitaka for the iPhone Air steered me to try the Latercase.

Those that have the Air, what Pro features do you miss that you don’t have? Or is the Air good as your daily and why? How’s battery life with heavy usage?
