yet midnight is kinda lame, its like when harry potter was released worldwide at the same time (12.00am in the UK 9am in AU) like all those kiddies waited all day for midnight, bought the book asap then went home to bed:confused:. 7am would mean the whole day to play with it and pump it full of apps!!:cool:

I just spoke to a TeleChoice store manager and apparently the 12:00am launch has been scrapped per request from Apple Australia.

He said all TeleChoice stores will open normal time (9:00am) and I'm having two put aside for me :)
 
OPTUS HAVE RELEASED PRICING!!!

I just got an email. They're offering both post-paid and pre-paid, and also depositees to register which handset they want and what location they are planning to buy it for priority queueing.

HURRAH! finally...now we wait for Vodafone...

Optus' plans don't interest me that much. 100mb, is that a lot? I could imagine you would use that up with one tap of the 'Maps' App. I'm really looking forward to the details of Telstra's pricing. I know you guys think that is blasphemy, but I'm on Telstra and I'm happy with them.
 
As far as calls go, and the cost of the iPhone itself, it's pretty good. For data it's pretty bad. Why not let me bolt on a couple of GB at extra cost if I want? :(
 
Could anyone who took note of the details of pricing please post here - the Optus website seems to be overloaded and is not responding...:(
 
I think if i go with optus i would get the $59 cap. But I dont think theres any point cause i doubt i get 3g in hervey bay
 
can someone explain these prices to me? I don't understand how these plans work.
