settings -> phone is "call forwarding" "call waiting" "show my caller ID" "SIM PIN" and "SIM Applications"

hey all - I lined up at 6 am at Allphones in Willetton here in WA. Two guys had been there since 5 am for the 7 am opening. Well - turns out they changed their opening time to 9am !! So another 2 hours to go. Luckily my wife was able to leave me to go to Optus World at Garden City just in case - this store was supposed to open at 9 am, but we got wind that it was actually going to open at 8 am. What to do?
Well - a lot of unhappy campers at Allphones - everyone wanted 16GB black - when the Allphones guy showed up at 8.30 to unlock, he was asked "what stock do you have?"
ONE 16GB WHITE
ZERO yes that's ZERO 16GB Black,
and some 8GB (one guy out of about 15 wanted an 8GB)
Well - better get my butt to Garden City ASAP, especially as I had some documents my wife needed for our phones.
The guy ahead of me in line - you know who you are - Aussie Rugby Jumper, hat, works in a mine, wife wouldn't take the day off for "just a phone" - very kindly gave me a lift to Garden City in the hope of getting a phone.
I was able to jump into the store where my wife was waiting for me, we got our 16 GB phones ($59 plan) no sweat (still waiting for Optus to activate them though).
So to the guy who gave me the lift - you're a champ, and I hope you're able to get a phone soon if you couldn't get one today. All the best.
P.S. these phones are insane - I have not stopped downloading apps all afternoon...

I didnt get one. I was in a line then was told 45mins later that this line was for the pre-registered customers. No sign no nothing. Then they tell us that they are not serving the people with no pre-reg untill after 10am WTF. The store opened at 7.
The i came back at 10 about 25 people in the line waited for 30mins. Not really moving at all. Then a lady comes out and a guy asks if they have any 16gig and she said 'not to many i dont think you will be getting one'. hahaahahahah
and to make the day even more funny i didnt even know i needed any forms like bank statements etc.
So could someone tell us what we would need to get an iphone. Like what forms we would need?
Also i was told that now they have a 3 week waiting list for some optus stores for the 16gig.But other stores say 1 week.

go into carrier and haite for optus (3G) option to come up, i have not reception now, but the 3G logo is there!!

Got in line at 5:30am... Sydney Was 5th in line was told they were only taking 4 pre-paid today and i was 1 of the 4 then got inside in no time, they hand me a 8gb, i said nah i want a 16gb then the lady says pre-paid doesn't come in 16gig i was like wha???
"Love the website says 16gb $849..."
Then the manager says no 16gig for prepay on launch... would have loved to have known that earlier!! They took a $50 deposit (deja-vu) and said within 10days...
Me thinks that was just to get me out of the store though... hahahaa
All of a sudden the 8gig looked quite appealing... Made myself leave though!
