That's bad azz...I was looking through the app store as I couldn't believe there wasn't something in there already.

I can't wait to try it.

Me Too!

I'd love to test it.

My app went into review status about 4 hours ago. So we will find out very soon I apple allows it or denies it. Should receive an email any minute now.

I am worried that they won't but I kinda have a feeling that they will.

Ours as well, about 9:30 am this morning west coast time. We are expecting it to be approved or rejected any time now.

I believe we were actually first with this idea on the iPhone 4. Already submitted to the App store last week, waiting on Apple for approval. We started on Jun 19th, tested for a couple days after the iPhone 4 launch, perfected multitasking related issues and submitted to the App Store for Approval.

Ours is priced at $.99 and is named Flashlight 4™ - (Waiting on App Store Approval).

Your version looks great, but is it not kind of lame to go into another guys app, say "But I was first!!!!" and promote your own app? Maybe that's just me.

There is already an app that uses the flash is this way, its just not as simple to use. its called cameralight

The issue with camera light is that it is just a clone of the camera. It is no different than just turnin on your camera and then turning on the flash. It displays the image as viewed through the camera on the screen with a 'special red tint, green tint or black tinted' effect. Its also slightly buggy.

whoever made that video is a serious ****** since they don't allow posting comments if someone points out that you don't even need this useless app to do it...way to go -.-

If you have an iPhone 4 and would like to try it, please reply in this thread.

Thanks,

Sherwin

Congrats Sherwin, the 1st dev interesting in this kinda app. I would like to try to see how it works vs handful of free apps for Motorola Milestone.

I've just watch your youtube clip and here are some of suggestions features: Auto off, Turn off screen auto/manually, pre-set timer, light levels low-mid-high, and Morse code transmit.
