Don't know what that techcrunch guy is talking about, but my personal experience is that the aluminum they use on the macbook pro's are really prone to dents when you drop them. So I really don't think it'll be more durable because it's made out of aluminum.

Would that be the unibody or earlier MBP versions?

Very nice. Movement between apps, in apps, everything looks smooth, no latency, the display looks great, the extra pixels look like they're being utilized very effectively too!

That video looks like it's running on a speed on par with x1.4 mode on FakeClockUp!

Doubling-down on secrecy, my foot!

If this is what Tim calls doubling-down on secrecy… was there any part not leaked? Mountain Lion proved secrecy can be absolute, so one is inclined to look around for other reasons Apple leaked like a sieve on iPhone 5.

Some might say, that since everyone wanted a wider screen last year and didn't get it, wanted a wider screen this year and weren't going to get it, maybe a few leaks were better than another enormous critical disappointment.

And now we have probably another 2 years of disappointments. Nobody complained about how wide the Original, 3G and 3GS were, and yet Apple's sticking with it's outdated concept of a phone.

Thanks to iPhone, we do so much more on our phones, so isn't it time we had a bigger screen to do this with? A 5" 16:9 screen is smaller than an iPhone 3G footprint, so why can't it be done?

Less microns, more inches, please Apple.

The only thing that pisses me off with that video is the "second bloke".

"Yeah, it seems really smooth compared to the 4S" ... as if the 4S has suddenly become this juddering, stuttering, slow phone. Honestly, stop drinking the damn Kool Aid. Yes, you can see it's faster, but the 4S is still a very, very smooth iOS device, even on iOS 6.

The black model looks unbelievably good. So good that the white model looks exceptionally average.

Although that could be down to white iPhones being owned by every chav or kid wanting to look "cool" by owning an apple product.

But why did the headphone jack have to move? That's where my hand goes...

Have you not figured it out, yet? Apple products are made for Left-handers!

Why else would you put the headphone jack and the crucial antenna point in the bottom left corner of the phone? Because you're holding it wrong!!

Change hands. :)

My heart is yearning for the black one!!!

Despite it being called iPhone 5.

I'm yawning for those of them, A6 is about the only thing that I liked and that is not enough to waste money on this year. iOS 6 is way more interesting than the hardware. I guess it will be iphone 6 that I will be waiting for. Either way lets see what they come up with for the ipad in the coming months.

Just glad they finally are moving over to the A6 chip.

My opinion,
Good,
1. Not turn wider is correct
2. 16:9 screen is great
3. Thinner and lighter than 4s is good, but not so important

Con,
1. Looks ugly on back(not same color)and bottom(those holes), jobs is dead, so nobody can control ivy
2. Changed port, but not a usb3
3. Changed sim card

I will not upgrade

I don't think a6&lte are useful for a phone, you don't need to download a huge file to the phone.

Can I ask those who want to switch to S3...what is better in S3 in compare to iphone 5? It is not rhetorical question; I just don't see the reason why S3 is better device and I need someone to convince me. Please!!!

4 things. But only those (and many may. It care about them)

1. Upgradable storage
2. Wider screen. (harder to hold, but trust me, reading kindle app or browser is pleasure on s3- but others may hate this width).
3. Removable battery
4. Customizable home screen.

Only 2 matters to me and may be a deal breaker for iPhone. But this REALLY matters to me. I'm really irritated typing and reading this note on my phone in portrait. And I never hold my phone sideways.

iPhone is sleek, smaller, faster, better camera. More stable and simpler OS and interface. Huge app store, apple ecosystem, secure knowledge next few iOS upgrades will work for it.

So Im on bubble. May just buy iPhone and use until next android upgrade. Work pays so I can get a new phone yearly.

It sounds like you are compensating for something.

You want a wider phone but who is going to buy everyone larger hands? The width is perfect as it is. They only change the length a bit but kept is useable by the majority of people.

Wow, the guy in the video was really irritating. Was it really necessary to completely spaz out and tap the screen all hyper? I get it, it's faster and smoother, but tapping the screen obsessively and using the phone like a spaz isn't necessary to show the speed increase.

Did they mention anything about the unlocked being available at launch?

i want to know too if the unlocked will be available im thinking it will since the 4s was i dont think they would backtrack ....does anyone know?

Well, I was hoping this was all some bad joke, but I guess we have this awful looking phone to deal with. It looks plain silly and I see very little benefit from more height alone.

I don't care a whit that it's skinnier or lighter, but it would have been nice had they put some time into ergonomics and made it pleasant to hold.

The new connector is insulting. Loyal Apple customers get thanked by making their accessories obsolete. The only benefit is that it's reversible...no USB3 or magsafe.

No NFC, which could have been put to use nicely.

Battery life is roughly the same...bad *admittedly this isn't unique to Apple, but a larger and heavier phone with double the talk time would be far more beneficial to me.

I don't see the speed improvements. I still notice some lag, frames dropped, etc, but if it's more responsive it's not noticeable by video.

I can't upgrade my 4s till May so I think I'm gonna wait for the 5s or 6 or what ever is next in the iPhone world.

I'm just really excited for iOS6 honestly. Passbook is gonna be a huge thing for me, and so will the navigation! My 4S is already a beautiful device that's extremely fast and responsive. It'll have everything that the 5 has, minus the bigger screen.

Stoked for iOS6 next week!

Black 32G will be pre-ordered form my carrier. This together with the 3rd gen black 32G iPad make a good team.

I'll leave the whites for the ladies :D
