My ass is so sore from the pounding apple gave me. Couldn't pre order on their site and was stuck ordering from att. If I show up next Friday and can't get a phone I will get the note 4. Such a bad taste apple has left once again in my mouth!

I preordered on verizon a little earlier than 2:01 am. People here were saying they can preorder, so when i tried mine (for the third time lol) it went through. i was so nervous, i kinda just rushed through things a bit (i know i got my card information right though). it wasn't until i saw my confirmation number that i remembered the $50 coupon that i got in my email. i didn't even apply it to the order 😱. i just got off the phone with verizon though and since my family has been a long time customer of them, they're going to give me $50 bill credit.
Yes. I actually happened to go check on the status (using the link in the reservation email from last night) and it was ready to be completed, and I had not received the second email yet. I checked out with no issues, was able to keep my unlimited data (AT&T), and the shipping estimate is still the same as when I reserved it last night (7-10 days, iPhone 6+ 128GB).
I was going to do the same with my wife's order, but then she actually got the second email right when I was about to go check on it anyway. No issues with her order either, and it was confirmed for delivery on the 19th (iPhone 6 64GB). Also AT&T.
So even if you haven't received the second email, keep checking that status link.
I received an email from Apple after ordering the 4 which I thought was a joke, saying that I would get my phone on the 23rd instead of the 24th. Low and behold it came on the 23rd. That didn't happen when I upgraded to the 5 though.
So I also couldn't get through this morning for one of the lines I was trying to upgrade. However, I did get a few 'reservations' that showed up in my e-mail, but they are all for the wrong size (16gb vs 64gb). Has anyone had luck in fixing that?

Last night, couldn't get through on Apple for over an hour. ATT site said I wasn't eligible for an upgrade, which was wrong, as I had checked a few days before.
Apple Store iPad App showed unavailable for ATT.
Finally gave up about 1:15A. Then this morning, at 7:15A Pacific, logged into Apple site, and it went through smoothly--got ATT iPhone 6 64MB, with delivery on 9/19.
Last night, couldn't get through on Apple for over an hour. ATT site said I wasn't eligible for an upgrade, which was wrong, as I had checked a few days before.

Had a hell of a time last night getting onto AT&T and could not get onto Apple. When I got onto AT&T it said we were ineligible for an upgrade! 😕 I had checked the day before and we were. After many attempts to get it to show eligible and not being able to get onto the Apple site. I checked to see what you guys were doing on the iPhone 6 thread and opened my phone and logged in and got myself a Silver 128GB. Yay! 🙂 ...I thought... 😱

Two years ago, when the 5 came out, there were a few people on the Verizon thread claiming they received their phone a day early. None could produce photo proof, save one.
As the masses yearned for the coveted item, tension built. Some resorted to distractions - movies, video games. Others sat outside, obsessively looking for a rider who would bring their salvation. But alas, none came... BUT THEN! Behold, one man gives hope! He claims a rider appeared from the east bearing the gift that all sought. His claim was instantly dismissed as another hoax, but to the shock of all, he provided... (gasp!) a photo. An accurate, legitimate, photo. He became an instant legend... a sign of hope for those consumed with the belief that the same could happen to them. Some say that man was blessed by the Gods. Others say, he was a fluke, or maybe he worked for Apple and just wanted to raise everyone's spirits for a time. Whatever the case, his story still echoes the halls of Mac Rumors.
TL;DR - It's rare, but it's happened before.
I had my Mac, iPad and iPhone ready to go at 12:01am this morning. Facetime my sister who lives in New York to purchase our phones .As we all know, the page never really loaded. I then tried using the apple store app on both my Ipad and Iphone and kept getting an error message. Took me 40 minutes but finally got through. Placed an order for a gold 6 plus 128gb. Selected to be picked up at the SF apple store. My sister gave up and went to the A&T website and placed her order there. I received an e-mail and went to bed.
Then I couldn't sleep of the excitement.

Well they are selling them as the exact same price as an unlocked phone in Canada so yes they are are unlocked.
Did my preorder at the AT&T store this morning right when they opened on my coffee run. When I got home and looked at the order status online it states delivery is expected 10/13/14 - 10/31/14*. Hope they are wrong about that. This was for a 64gb Space Grey 4.7".
When did you get your order in? It took me over 50 min to get past the errors on Verizon's site, but once I placed my order it said I would get it by the 19th. It THEN said I would get a confirmation via email but it could take 24 hours to arrive to do high volume. I haven't gotten confirmation yet. I see many phones this morning have availability dates in October. Mine better be here on the 19th like it said~!!

I waited for Apple's store until 1 AM and then read reports here that the carriers were working, so I went to Verizon and got through the process quickly - 1:10 AM or so. I saw no shipping estimates during the checkout process at Verizon and only when I got the e-mail in the morning did I discover that I got the shaft. By then, of course, Apple was out.
So far as I can tell, Apple ran out of 9/19 delivered phones before their actual store opened. I call shenanigans.

I was able to order the Gray 128GB Plus from Apple last night using the iPad app, and received the confirmation e-mail at 12:31 AM. When I started the process, it said it would arrive on the 19th, but by the time I finished I was out to October 1st to 6th arrival.
I can't believe that they would sell out of their entire available stock before the web store was even functional.

I did an online order for the same at ATT at about 5 after 3 Eastern, so it was a really early order, which has an estimated ship date of 10/31-11/5, which is BS. I'm hoping it's a really bad estimate.

My card got charged and the order now indicates my iPhone plus is being processed so I am assuming that it is going to ship as when I ordered it indicated nothing was charged until the item was processed and shipped!
