1) The iPhone 6 is big enough of an increase from the iPhone 5. I cannot imagine those that purchase the iPhone 6+ and what they are experiencing.

2) Holding the iPhone 6 and then switching back to my iPhone5, HOLY SCHNITZ! What a HUGE HUGE difference in phone size!

3) The iPhone6 is rather beautiful and glorious :)

Haha that will be my thoughts as well once I get my iPhone 6 in the mail..a real upgrade for me from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 6 :D

I personally feel the 4 was the peek of iphone design. I'll be getting a 6 to replace my 4S but I'm not happy about giving up on the 4S's exquisite design.

Just had my 6+ delivered from UPS! First impressions: I dig it. Went back to my iPhone 5 after only 10 mins. of using my 6+ and it felt like a puny little hobbit phone.

I think that's how a lot of Android users felt about the iPhone before the 6 came out. As an iPhone user, I hated the small screen, the iPhone 5S and below was just too small. I'm glad Apple finally gave in and released a larger screen iPhone (well 2 :D)

Agreed. I switched to the Nexus 5 specifically because of the screen size, as there wasn't an analogous iOS device. Now that there is, I'm happy the be back.

I am having a ball using my iPhone 6, however I am not in love with the new look. My iPhone 4s, and the 5/5s had very distinctive looks and this iteration of iPhones look very pedestrian, and one would be hard pressed to pick it out of the sea of similar sized Android phones on the market.

Of course, this is just my opinion after using the phone for a couple days.

Here's the pic I posted on the 'What are you upgrading from?' thread, where I think I might win the award for biggest iPhone upgrade, going from a 3G to a 6. :)

Like lots of people, I don't like the antenna lines or the protruding camera. However… first impression of the phone (looking at the front) was a definite 'wow' from me. It's hard to ignore the appeal of a shiny new iPhone, and the rounded glass edges really do look great. I'm very happy with the size of the 6. And yes, it does feel 50 times faster than my old 3G!

My only real complaint so far is the position of the lock button. I can see why Apple put it there with the larger phones, but I find it's now awkward to adjust the volume, because my thumb often happens to be right over the lock button, and as Newton taught us all, for every button press there is an equal and opposite button press on the other side of the phone. I suspect over time I'll adjust the way I do this without even thinking (I'm already finding it a bit easier), but yeah… not ideal placement IMO.

Wow someone wrote an article on this post. Congrats, you're famous!

Not gonna buy one this year since I'm in contract. But checked out both today. After 15 min trying both, I'll get the 6 next year. Cause of a bad neck my wrists started hurting after playing around with the 6 plus. I can't use it one handed. It's ok with 2 hands in horizontally I guess. It's so damn heavy to me though. It reminds me of my first iphone 1. Heavy, bulky, and slippery lol. The screen on the plus was amazing though. I use my phone at home with AirPlay mirroring anyway. Don't need a huge phone when I'm out and about. Like excercising with a smaller phone also.

Hopefully by the time iphone 7 plus come out they reduce the weight by a lot and reduce the height also. 5" is still the sweet spot in my head. I bet next year's 6s is gonna get the 1080p screen and Ois. The 6s plus will get a higher res than 1080p. And both will be saphire. I can wait. If the 5.5 would of been a lot lighter, maybe I would of thought differently.

36 hours in, and I'm loving it. I've never been one of the people agitating for increasingly bigger screens, but every time Apple defaults to a larger screen, I end up loving it (e.g., how I felt about the iPhone 5). Truthfully, I loved the screen on the 6+ when I tried it out at the ATT store, but it's simply not practical for my dress pants pockets. The regular 6 is pushing that, as I found out this evening. So I'm really not sure how I'd feel if Apple made the base phone even larger than the 6. That said, the phone is incredibly thin. I remember thinking that about the 5, but this is even thinner. Very impressive. Can it get any thinner?

Other impressions:

I still don't really like having the power button on the side...I often end up adjusting the volume when I just want to turn off the phone.

The reachability function is actually pretty useful. I'm 6'3 and have large hands, yet sometimes I still find the phone positioned such that I can't reach the top left corner with my thumb without reachability.

I upgraded from the 5, so touchid is new to me. I'm impressed by how quickly it recognizes my fingerprints.

On the iOS 8 front, I love the ability to have a third-party keyboard. I have an Android tablet and have always thought that to be an advantage over iOS. Now I have Swiftkey on my phone and it's great!

The plastic lines don't really bother me.

Taken with 6 plus.

Tim Cook already confirmed this in one of the interviews. He said that while the :apple:Watch requires an iPhone to work, it can operate independently for specific cases and going on a run was one of the examples given.

Thanks to you and the other person who confirmed this! I can't wait for the Apple watch to come out and hopefully make it so I don't have to run with a phone strapped to my arm.

I cannot believe that people are actually posting pictures of their iPhones. Unlike sexting where everybody's what-ever looks a little different than the next guy's/gal's iPhone 2s really all look the same. I guess it is sheer happiness.

iPhone 6 64gb Gold:

Only downside for me isn't anything to do with the phone itself, it's just that my phone has been restoring from iCloud ever since I activated it and I still can't see any bit of data that could possibly be missing! Maybe it's only ancient iMessages are still being dug up, but I'm wary of stopping the restore in case there's anything important still coming through.

That was driving me crazy last night also and then I realized I hadn't signed into my WiFi at home. After doing that it quickly finished the restore process that apparently hadn't been completed in the Apple store.

My 6+ will be for every day use. But my wife and I will be keeping our 4" iPhones for when we go out(weddings ect.).

I got my 6 Plus 16 GB Space Grey today around 10:30 AM MST, first impressions....

When I first opened the box, I thought I was accidentally sent a silver. The grey is a very light color.

The phone is huge. It is just ridiculous. It takes some getting used to for sure. One handed use is really awkward, really out of the question. My right hand hurts from using it all day, because of how far I had to stretch. it hurt like your hand does when you type for too long on the computer

It's amazingly thin and light.

The display is gorgeous, everything just pops.

Stock apps look awesome, and make great use of the screen, however, apps from the app store have not been updated, so they are scaled up, and the status bar gets big. A bit of fuzziness on third party apps.

I watched the end of the Utah-Michigan game on it, and it was just a joy to watch on

The battery came pre-charged at 70%, and lasted me 10 hours. I Was trying out every possible thing on the phone, downloading apps, watching video. The battery is a beat, really awesome coming from a 5. The battery was the main reason I chose the Plus, and it has delivered.

Slow motion camera is awesome. Optical Image Stabilization works, and the photos I took look amazing.

The design is better for holding a big phone then the 5s design would be, but still hard to do one handed use.

These pictures compare my Plus to my iPhone 5. If you want more pictures, tell me and I'll upload them in another post because I only have 5 attachments per post.

The 5 and 5S screen are exactly the same size as a business card.

Try it out. Now you understand just how small it is. It blew my mind when I was playing around as saw that. I felt, the larger screens couldn't come fast enough. Though I sill love all my past iPhones. Just wanted more.

Hey, thanks for the tip off! Probably never would have seen this otherwise. :)

It was pretty much a repost... You wrote the article. lol... Then read the comments.

Congratulations on the attention. I hope it gets picked up from a major news outlet.

Wow, that can't be space grey. That has to be the silver iPhone...

wow - the plus does not appear that much bigger! i might go with plus :D

i think it's weird that the silver version don't get white bands - like on this gold version? white bands are much nicer (y)

iPhone 6 Plus vs Nexus 5

I've been saying that for a long time. Why don't they:

1. make an iphone air. 4" with slim body (hopefully next year). Yes - even slim'er than the 5S. that would quickly become fashion device + extra device.

2. iphone 4.7 - 5" (iphone regular)

3. iphone + 5" (iphone plus)

i would quickly get iphone air and iphone plus. ever since i have had the google nexus i avoid bringing it to club, party etc. but it's nice for work.

My 6+ will be for every day use. But my wife and I will be keeping our 4" iPhones for when we go out(weddings ect.).

Absolutely love the 6+ I think Apple got it completely right this time. It's fantast to use. I'm Female but although it's very big it's amazing looking at video etc. I think I will use this as my business everyday phone. I love it, however hate to say I'm off for the 6 as well today for my going out socialising phone. I would not want to take the 6+ where I might drop it and going to get AppleCare for first time on a phone.
