Resuming the rumors:
- Still 1Gb Ram,
- thinner obsession , what about ergonomics Mr. "Iremoveeverybodywhodisagreewithme" J.Ive ?
- No FullHD for 4.7" device, the 2014 competition is ROFL
- same battery for 4.7" device whereas the Iphone5S has a catastrophic battery life...
- sapphire glass and bigger battery only for 5.5"

Hopefully, we will finally see 128GB storage.

Flat Fail UI

Apple needs to get rid of this Flat thing first. We already have ugly flat UIs.

Sapphire glass only on the 64gb 5.5in model reminds me of the rumors that only the top capacity 5S would come in gold. Of course we saw that gold ended up being offered as a color on any size 5S. I believe that sapphire glass will be used on displays across the entire iPhone 6 lineup.

If yields are a problem, supplies will simply be constrained for the first few months. Apple has proven that they are willing to sacrifice early supplies to launch the product they want to launch on time (thinking of the new Mac Pro, iPad Mini Retina, iMac 2012, gold iPhone 5S).

A side button for sleep/wake might not be the best idea in terms of usability. Keeping volume buttons on the side and power on the top avoids accidental screen locks and makes their functions more immediately obvious.

Only 1GB of RAM?! Really Apple? I hope that part isn't true; and also I thought Apple was opposed to using NFC, given their work on iBeacon?

And I'm definitely in agreement on the thickness issue; I'd much rather it stay identical as the iPhone 5/5s and incorporate a bigger battery.

I would make three models and dismiss the current lineup:

- iPhone 6: 4.5" 1280x720: 320 ppi, same ppi as current iPhone, new "optimal size for productivity and comfortable one-handed usage" (ever heard somebody with a Moto G complain for one-handed usage? Me neither), also effortlessly compatible with old apps (just a little bezel is added from 1366x640 old apps), replace iPhone 5 and 5s, smooth and future-proof enough with A8 CPU and 2GB RAM.
$199-16GB, $299-32 GB, $399-64GB, on contract.
- iPhone 6 Pro: 6" 2560x1440: 490 ppi, new "maximum size for pocketability", made as a flagship to fend off competition with killer specs and pro features. Applications effortlessly scalable from 1280x720, plus "Pro apps" to take advantage of massive "Desktop class" A8X and 4GB RAM. Screen can split into four 3" 720p squares to show off quad-multitasking from brutal CPU, fandroids commit harakiri.
$499-32GB, $599-64GB, $699-128GB, on contract.
- Lastly, iPhone 6 Air with same guts as iPhone 6 (A8, 2GB RAM), and 4" screen. Lighter due to smaller dimension (mostly marketing), resolution and chassis from iPhone 5C. Available in black or white (please no salmon pink).
$0-8GB, $99-16GB, on contract.

Lol no. Not a chance.

Pushing the resolution higher and higher while still not raising the amount of ram in the device?
Would not be a good idea. At all.

I am so tired of Apple trying to make things thinner. Keep the same thickness and improve battery life.

And I'm tired of folks assuming that every rumor, sketch etc is true and bashing Apple over them. These we rumors, hold the 'what a dumb frakking move' comments for when Apple actually does it.

We need the actual battery technology to change... the instant charge 2000% battery has been invented but it's going to take time to commercialise.

Oh and oh look another "KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo" post - [Rolls Eyes]

Why are people complaining about the RAM? It just allows you to multitask more but who in here is having trouble with multitasking on their 5S? This is not the android platform where you can do all sorts of crazy things to push the hardware to the limits.

A few opinions;

- Camera better be amazing, even 5S' camera still needs some work done with low light performance. I'm not sure how I feel about them sticking with 8MP. I guess they're saving the camera revamp for 6S.
- Moving the power/lock button to the side would be public relations suicide. It would be like Apple accepting Android is leading now. (alongside following the trend of the bigger screen) I can already see people binge-bashing Apple on how they're doomed and following Samsung/Android, not leading the market anymore etc.
- 4.7" is enough. A 5.5" or 5.7" screen would be hideous as it is with other devices. Apple was always a special brand not a catch-all brand that is willing to suit everyone's preferences. Hell Macintosh still doesn't support NTFS writing out of the box. Just because there are people demanding 5.5" screened iPhone doesn't mean they should make it. It's their loss if they're not buying an iPhone because it is not phablet sized. What if Apple licensed Macs to PCs back in early 21st century? There were, and still are a lot of people that would buy Mac OS PCs, just look at the Hackintosh community.

I think my point is very clear. Apple shouldn't forget its core values, don't try to become a catch-all mainstream brand and stick with what it is best at; being premium, classy and different.

I'm really hoping for full-screen TouchID. That would be a shocker as I think the general public pretty much expects every iPhone to have a home button.

Physical home button has accessibility uses. I don't see Apple spending all this time to build up that side of things to ditch it now. Negative PR costs etc

Indeed. I don't see the point in 401ppi, since not too long ago Apple claimed whatever the previous "retina" resolution was the maximum a person could resolve. Sounds like something added for the measurebaters (I frequent a DSLR forum, it's a common term there.)

More RAM would be welcomed. More RAM = better performance + the possibility of multitasking.

I'm not upgrading until they put out a 3.6 circular iPhone with 5 gb RAM and flat-skeuomorphic widgets. RIP Apple.

They should include NFC. Some bluetooth speakers and cameras now use it to connect easily. Its a feature that should be in any high end phone now in my opinion
