These heating and shut down issues are the proof that Apple is so much overestimated. They make so many mistakes and faulty products. Last year there was bend gate (two friends of mine have their phone bended slightly from normal use). I personally have the shifted front camera lens like a lot of people. They tried to get more money from us hard working people, by using cheap bendable aluminum and a ****** 1 GB RAM in the iPhone 6 for fantastic app and Safari tabs reloads. Now with the 6S these major problems. And still Jonathan Ive will tell us with a sweet hypnotic voice, how fantastic the product has been put together with true craftsmanship.

I bought a Galaxy S5 Plus last week (S5 Plus is 430 euro, 6S is 750 euro and 6 is 650 euro in The Netherlands), just to test and compare it with my 6 and I'm ready to switch back to Android. I still have a week to return the S5 Plus, but I'm really thinking of replacing it for my iPhone. Bigger screen, better feel in hand and grip without a case, no lag, just as fast as my iPhone, better battery life, multi-window which I use a lot, water resistant, removable battery, transfer songs from my computer to my phone without any hassle. Also the little things like skipping to another part of a YouTube video just by tapping where you want to go, instead of putting your fingertip exactly on the red dot and then dragging to where you want. To find a contact to dial someone is also easier on Samsung, much more intuitive. I have the iPhone for 5 months now, but enough is enough. I also have a frustrating bug on my phone where I don't even hear notification sounds for my Whatsapp messages half of the time. I'm leaving the Apple sect:mad:

You shouldn' t have joined the sect in the first place.
If you are not an apple fan and just practical looking for bang for the buck it is not for you.
Samsung makes a scratched screen on their edge models, the phones that should be waterproof really are not wateroroof, a memory bug and battery draining issue on the s6.

You're definitely right about the bang for buck part. About the waterproof thing, I've tested the S5 Plus in a sink full of water (I know, I'm a little crazy), and it survived perfectly. Only thing was the speaker that sounded terrible for 2 hours after the test, after that back to normal sound. I've read online that it's a normal thing about the speaker. Also it's correct that the S6 has a memory bug and battery draining issue. That's why I went for the S5 Plus, Samsung nailed it with that specific model.

BTW, are you a developer?

I am a developer, which means I've installed lots of buggy (my own) apps on my new 6s (TSMC, 64GB, unlocked, restored from an iTunes backup, 9.0.latest_released), but so far (cross fingers) I haven't seen my iPhone crash or lock up in any way.

But the MBA 11 10.10.5 on which I run both Xcode 7 and 7.1beta has crashed a couple times the past week.

Just a theory, do all if you guys that have had problems use TouchID?

Likewise, are there any of you out there that have had the problem and not have TouchID setup?

Just happened again. First time was 9.1b2. This time it's 9.0.2 since I rolled back. Interestingly, it did not disconnect from my Bluetooth headset until I did the power button/home butting reset. No issues for over a week and then two crashes in two days.

It happened to me three times. I went back to my 6 Plus for now.... Let my husband use the 6s instead lol.

Well mine has only done it once so far knock on wood,I have turned off ICloud and Touch ID as well,The only thing I have noticed is only one of my apps I was using made the phone heat up more so I deleted it was Pulse Point,And I had a heat up with Face Book but it was only minor more then likely normal warming

I plugged in my 6s Plus 64GB to charge at night, put it facedown on my table. Next day wake up with this problem. Had to hard reset, and I missed my bloody alarm thanks to this bug.

Could it be anything with leaving the phone face down on a surface? Because iOS 9 now detects that your phone is face down and doesn't turn on the screen even when there's notifications. Maybe this feature is actually causing this bug.

No. Both my phones were face up when they locked up.

One was being charged and the other was while it was just sitting on the counter face up.

My 6s Plus did it not a few minutes after getting into my car. It connected via Bluetooth, and then within minutes it had locked up. I know this because I glanced at my Apple Watch and I could see the "lost connection" symbol at the top of the screen. Curiously, though, as I mentioned earlier, it was still connected to the Bluetooth in the car because when I reset the phone with the home/power button, my car showed the "Cell phone disconnected" message. Very odd.

Be nice if Apple would acknowledge the issue already... It's clearly widespread enough.

Mine locked up once while in my pocket. But as I mentioned earlier in this thread I have not had a shut off in 48 hours--since I reset all settings as is suggested in post 1.
