Anyone have a view on musicmagpie vs envirofone for selling? Have sale orders with both as prices were highest but have never used before.

Have always used Mazuma or Fonebank before without issue but their prices a little lower.
Hate MusicMagpie. I had to go to the trouble of sending it off and waiting a few days to find out my £300 iPhone 6 128gb quote is only going to be £160. Waste of time, refused the offer and sending to Mazuma who guarantee a working/faulty quote instead of other providers judging the condition so harshly
I have always used fonebank rossy and they are 100% reliable. Happy to take slightly less knowing they shouldn't give me any trouble.

iPhone 7 Plus Jett Black 256GB Cancelled
iPhone 7 Plus Jett Black 128GB Cancelled
iPhone 7 Plus Matte Black 256GB Cancelled

iPhone 7 Plus Matte Black 128GB You are the winner!!! Well done! you're going to a great owner and nice home!.

Cancelled my very order so now got to wait till 4-10th oct for my Apple order :( going to be a long 4 weeks

Just realised that the EE upgrade tariff I selected online doesn't allow to upgrade after 12 months. Might see if I can change but will likely need to pay £99 upfront instead of £49 so now thinking I will hold out until I can get a Jet Black plus direct from Apple - ideally on the upgrade programme.

Pretty sure that any tariff with any uk operator where the phone is part of the plan is a 24 month one. Apart from O2 refresh IIRC.

No EE have two tariffs in their 4GEE Max Plans that allow upgrades after 12 months. They are the 25gb and 40gb plans. I ordered on the 15gb 4GEE max plan assuming all the max plans allowed this.

Hear all these Americans in the other pre-order thread talking about phoning Apple support to get their delivery shortened. Is that possible here in the UK?
No point whatsoever.
All it does is take away the 'insurance' days they added on in order to make it look like they've delivered it early. It won't change when it actually gets to you. They're not gonna be like 'whoa this guy phoned up, let's give it to him a week earlier than we said'.

I believe you get a 'cooling off period' so you should be able to up your contract

Agreed. How conservative are they with their estimated delivery times?

So have the people that phoned Apple actually had any changes to their order?.. I'd like to know how many 'insurance' days Apple have added to my delivery window! Interesting info :)

It seems people that were supposed to get it on the 27th-29th had it 'pushed up' to 23rd.
Then those that were due for delivery for 23rd initially were then told it would come 20th.
So it's basically 3 days insurance days.

Were you able to cancel your Very order? I am having extreme difficulty cancelling it as I have already been charged apparently even though it's not due til October, so they say I have got to accept delivery and then return it. There customer service is shocking, I made a big mistake going with them in a moment of madness, wish I just held out the 2-3 weeks to go with Apple. :(

Interesting, thanks for that! What thread was this on?

Is it odd if you paid by Apple Pay that it's not showing up in wallet.app and my card hasn't been charged yet?

Order says processing on both Apple Watch & iPhone, had nothing from Apple or my bank saying there's been any problems!

Had both emails after ordering too!

Apple Watch is being delivered 16th September and iPhone Matte Black 7+ 128GB is being delivered 27-29 September..

Not mine. Mines order processing still saying 27-29 and hasn't moved since the morning of pre orders.

I was talking about the people who phoned up for 'expedited shipping' to try and get it earlier.
But yeah, I've got the same delivery date.

No not odd at all, the payment only shows up when money has been taken. For the phones, only if you have 'preparing for dispatch' should the money be taken.

As for the Watches, I guess they're not running around with their heads on fire as much as they are for iPhones. We'll move to 'preparing for dispatch' when the working week starts again ;)

Also as it happens, we have the same dates for Watch and Phone.

Anyone buy with Carphone Warehouse? They took payment on Saturday but it's annoying that they don't give a tracking number. Do you think they'll be leaving from China too?

Ordered a 7+ 128GB Black at 8:05am and am looking at Sep 27-29.

Friend ordered the same phone at 8:07am and had the same delivery date as me but called Apple last night (saying he will be going away for a long period of time and miss the delivery, blah blah blah) and this evening his delivery date now says Sep 20-22 (I've seen it for myself).

Contacted Apple to ask if the same could be done for me (giving an account of my friend's situation etc). They told me it's not possible and that people may see dates change over the next few days but there's no rhyme or reason to it and it's sometimes based on delivery location (friend is 40-ish miles away from me, I'm in central London).

Annoying, but happy at least one of us is getting it earlier! Hopefully my backup Very.co.uk order (supposedly Sep 16 delivery) will come through.

Tesco, Virgin, o2 and EE all offer plans allowing you to upgrade earlier than the minimum 24 month term.

Tesco, Virgin and o2 have their Refresh (or equivalent) plans and EE have their Max (formerly Complete) option.

I prefer o2, Virgin or Tesco because you see how much your tariff is and I personally think it allows you to "shop around" and choose the best deal for you.

Just incase people don't know on O2 Pay Monthly, you can request to unlock your iPhone and i did my iPhone 6 Plus a few months ago and i got it for free

That's better than someone like Vodafone because you have to have your contract for a minimum of 12 months otherwise there's a fee of something like £19.99. That may have changed since though.
