Well technically if it's written in their terms and conditions and you buy it knowing this, then you do get what you pay for.Probably, O2 too, but it's just a pain and not what you pay for.
It's annoying isn't it. Personally I'm going to be trying to get a ceramic watch at the Selfridges Apple Watch outlet. Unfortunately they're selling iPhones there these days too so no doubt it'll be manic. On a different note how come you can't reserve the watches for pickup in store. It only lets you order online for delivery October now. It's says the watches will be available in some stores from 16th
Only the series 1 is available for in-store pickup.I reserved a series 1 for Friday. Not sure if series 2 was available at that time for reservation or not.
Probably, O2 too, but it's just a pain and not what you pay for.
Thankyou for that i might get that one, have you seen amazon has there own AmazonBasics case
https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasi...585326&sr=8-1&keywords=amazon+basics+iPhone+7
I can't do cases with an open bottom (oo-er missus!)That actually looks decent. A bit like the Apple silicone cases with that microfiber lining. I knew Amazon Basics did iPhone 7 cases but I have only seen the clear TPU one.
So there are still reservations left for the 256gb plus in gold and rose gold for launch day pick up at my local apple stores. However it's going through the iPhone upgrade reservation link, which I'm not wanting to do. I'm wanting to pay outright. I really want the black but I currently do not have a phone at all as I sold my 6s plus yesterday. I do have a black (matte) one on pre order with a 27-29th deliver window.
Do you think they will allow me to just pay outright for the phone instead when in store? Surely a sale is a sale?
Also as a side thought, there will be people who do not pass the credit check for the phones on the Apple upgrade program (its Barclays who are ****s when it comes to passing credit checks) will this stock be released to walk ins do you think??

I got caught out many years ago. My phone insurance seemed to be tied to CPW so when I got a replacement for a damaged phone, it was CPW who provided it and it locked to my SIM even though I originally bought the handset from apple.
I then sold the phone not realising this and then it became a palava getting vodafone to unlock it without me even bring in possession of the phone.
So signing in a three or o2 SIM, if only just to unlock the handset, it might save you hassle later on
If your careful with the phone ( and I go to no length to take any extra precaution) you will be fine.I can't do cases with an open bottom (oo-er missus!)
The last few iPhones, o2 stated just after release that they "wouldn't be unlocking for the foreseeable future"Probably, O2 too, but it's just a pain and not what you pay for.
True, but how many people actually read the terms and conditions when keen on getting a phone for launch day? Look at all the posts here for an example... If they market it as "unlocked", it should be unlocked.
Good to know, If my web pre order doesn't move on tues/wed ill go to get my reservation on friday. Might also ask if any black ones have failed the credit check and see if i can get one of those instead. Wife is due upgrade ends of October so i could always get my black one then and give her the gold one.You can do this, someone on AVforums called up and Apple confirmed this. Seems it's gonna be a loophole for people who don't want to pre order and pay upfront but pay in store.
I *think* CPW market theirs as 'SIM Free', as opposed to 'unlocked' and this is where the confusion begins.True, but how many people actually read the terms and conditions when keen on getting a phone for launch day? Not a scratch on my 6s with a open bottom and top spigen case

In CPW's eyes, it's sold 'without a SIM Lock', even though for some inexplicable reason it locks to the first one you put in.
There should really only be 2 types of iPhones; locked to the network you bought it on, or inlocked forever from day 1.
CPW's offering is simply *****.
Having said that, I've always felt that phones purchased on a contract should also be unlocked-why should the networks care whose SIM you put in, as long as your paying them the contracted £xx per month??
I've long thought phone locking should be outlawed for being fundamentally anti-competitive.I *think* CPW market theirs as 'SIM Free', as opposed to 'unlocked' and this is where the confusion begins.

Thanks, I was only pointed out what I said maybe because you made the wrong order and to brought it to your attention, It is nice, i have the all clear version, not with the black side.Yea sorry i meant this one, for my iPhone 7 Plus https://www.amazon.co.uk/iPhone-Spi...254&sr=8-4&keywords=iphone+7+plus+case+spigen

Their justification is that it's without a sim so you can put any sim in it when it's sold. Thus 'sim free'. It's crafty and dickish.
