iPhone 7/7+ - UK Orders & Dispatches Thread

There are pluses just not in Matt or jet black. The other colours they have a lot of. Maybe Jonny Ives' anodisation process is taking too long.
Apple tried to take payment but card was declined so waiting for 15 minutes before I can authorise the payment again. Meh!
Yea my rose gold plus is showing as black in the support page. Maybe that's where all the black phones have gone this year lol
Let us know! I think they're doing something unique for iPhone 7 pre-paid reservations. I don't think the Apple Store is actually shipping a phone to the store for you (like a normal store collection), rather you've been allocated one from the pool of phones going to that store.
So i'll be interested if it does "ship" or if it just changes to "ready for collection at pickup time" or something.
This is the first time Apple have done this system so I'm making educated guesses here - so let us know if it does ship or if you see a serial number appear on your support profile
I know Apple isn't doing walk ins but does anyone know if there is anywhere I can buy one outright unreserved on Friday morning?

Yes I think the C grade is when you don't have the box/ accessories or they phone is really battered. To get an A grade you need to have all the accessories and a mint device. I had a mint S7 edge but I had opened the headphones to give to my husband as he has a S6 edge plus. So today I got a B grade.

This year there seem to be 3 options:
Pre pay for home delivery
Pre pay and pick up instore
Reserve for iPhone upgrade programme (maybe allowed to pay outright?).

They're doing something different for sure. You might be onto something there but who knows?

Apparently John Lewis' pre- orders are going live at 8 am on Friday morning. I'd check online on Thursday night as last year you could pre-order on the Thursday night and pick up on the Friday (launch day) in store.
You could check Argos too as apparently they had some stock on their site yesterday for pre-order and claimed delivery would be on the 16th. I'm not sure if anyone confirmed it though.

Yeh - I was in Seattle last week and I ordered a yellow watch strap to Seattle Apple Store, so went through a not-in-stock ship-to-store pickup, which is where those 3 panels make sense.
The only reason I think they're not actually shipping one is because the online-paid reservations and the iPP paid in store reservations share the same stock. If it's available on iPP, it's available for paid reservation, and iPP stock is unique per store, not all stores - I don't know how they'd be doing that if there was a central pool of phones for paid reservations, just like my yellow watch strap came from a central distribution place, not unique to the store.
Wondering who else is in the iPhone 7 128GB Jet Black boat and what their delivery estimates are? Mine is 26 Sep - 3 Oct. Is this the earliest batch? (Confirmation email received at 08:13)

I am indeed. If I didn't have the phone I wanted, i'd be queuing up early on Friday. We'll will see though on Friday!
My one one piece of advice would be: Don't assume anyone on Apple support chat or phone has any idea what Apple retail stores are doing.
Others that have said no walk ins on Friday said retail staff have confirmed. You're the ONLY person that says otherwise on that subject.... what does that tell us?
I'm relying on my brother, who works in an Apple Store, as I said previously. He said no walk ins. I'll take his word over some Internet joker.
No cables needed for the online recycle places with no effect on price. eBay might be worth it if you advertise without cables. I got £100 more than any recycle places when ebaying last year without cables.

I've ordered for in store pickup before and it was the same as ordering online for home delivery. So I don't understand why you seem so confused like it's some new thing.....
Oh Apple had to make it hard for us
I think Apple does have a huge challenge on its hands logistically every year, but they did shoot themselves in the foot by making the ship date one week after announcement, unlike normal where they have two weeks.
And to us, yea Apple stuff might have lost the magic, because we have so much of it, and being 'fans' or whatever you call it I'd say we are hypercritical of anything they do. Let's face it, the bog standard customer doesn't even know that all this pre order madness happens when they get their new 7+ on contract in a few months time

Funnily enough, I've just had an email from Apple saying my card payment was declined as well. I called my card issuer, Tesco, and they said there had been no problem with the payment, no block or anything was put on it, and as far as they were concerned the payment had been authorised at their end.
I can't help but wonder if Apple's systems have got their knickers in a twist with the volume of transactions it's dealing with. I'll call them tomorrow and chase it up, I'm just hoping it doesn't affect me getting my phone on Friday.

I heard on a podcasts that they want the launch to be on the 16th so that sales will count towards their sales for this quarter as they have had two quarters of non growth.
They have but i wondered if people had any that had slipped through
